Should 'Kris Von Zimmerman' be the Next Colonel Klink?

Now that Chris Zimmerman aka 'Kris Von Zimmerman' has resigned from the WMATA Board of Directors he has all kinds of time to 'pursue other activities". I and others who live on Columbia Pike believe Chris would be better suited to be the next Colonel Klink in a "Hogan's Heroes" remake than the Reitsfuhrer of Transportation in Arlington County. We also think that "Gourmet Jay" Fisette would make a great Colonel Hogan. Thanks for posting this on the AY blog.

Yes, Kris has it all -- arrogance, elitism, incompetence.

Would be something the Signature could pursue, except they are booked solid with Stephen Sondheim revivals until 2015.

Yeah, Pikester, but the 'underground' actually and efficiently transported crashed Allied aircrew members out of Nazi-occupied countries during WW2. How would the publicists overcome Kris's record at WMATA?

Before today I thought this was a great blog. But it's actuallty an awesome blog.

As for Jay being the next Colonel Hogan, only if there's lots of episodes involving rescued aircrew swimming the English Channel to England.

Better yet, bicycle across Nazi-Occupied Europe to Switzerland.

Look, this is not really a problem. I'll consult with my fellow Harvard Alumni, just as John F. Kennedy did about Vietnam, 50 years ago, and come up with a solution by 2015.

Kris Von Zimmerman already IS the next Colonel Klink - "Barbara you dumkoff, vhat do you mean ve cannot afford light rail in the Reit? Ve did not appoint you to be Reitsminister of Management to hear these excuses."

Is Von Zimmerman Reitsminister of Transportation or Reitsfuhrer?

He is both.

Barbara Donnellan is a shoo in for Sergeant Schulz. She "sees nothing, hears nothing and knows nothing."

Colonel Hogan: "The problems are none of our doing. The Reitstransportation system is kaput, Colonel Klink. You and the other Reitministers of Transportation have been in charge for decades. Your only hope under the circumstances is to requisition 200,000 bicycles from Berlin."

Werner Klemperer was a very talented man. What makes you think Von Zimmerman could play Colonel Klink as well?

Eric Von Schaeffer should produce a stage version at the Signature Theater first. The audience will not know the difference between an actor of Klemperer's stature and Von Zimmerman and they will love it.

I think Eric Schaeffer would be interested in developing the Bob Crane-Colonel Hogan character.

In the remake Colonel Hogan (played by Jay Fisette) will lead a mass escape to Switzerland on bicycles. Klink will pursue the escapees via the rail system hoping to intercept the escapees at a point where the tracks cross the road. Hogan foils Klink's pursuit by stealing German Army trucks and putting them on the tracks at rail crossings, and deflating the tires.

Hey, deja vu, the Pike at rush hours in 2020.

"Gourmet Jay" cast as Colonel Hogan and leading a dash to the Swiss Border by POW escapees in a Hogan's Heroes remake? Jay couldn't lead a dash from the Signature to Busboys and Poets after a matinee performance of "Sweeney Todd".

Jay Fisette is too old to play Colonel Hogan, he's in his late 50's and Bob Crane was in his late 30's.
