County Board to Approve Parking for 2,000 More Vehicles in 2009?

The County Board approved the construction of more than 4,000 new parking spaces in Arlington last year. So far this year the County Board approved the construction of more than 1,200 new parking spaces, most near Metrorail. Several major projects will come before the County Board late this year, including another hotel near Courthouse and the expansion of American Service Center. County Planning Staff expects the County Board to approve the construction of at least 2,000 new parking spaces this year, most near Metrorail.

Big Real Estate Tax Increase Next Year?

Yupette, take a look at the consent agenda items for the September 26th County Board meeting. Looks to me like the County Board will increase spending while increasing real estate taxes by 5 percent or 6 percent. Dennis
