Zimmerman to Raise Taxes and Fees on Business Again in 2011

Hi Yupette,

Whatever "Reitsfuhrer" Zimmerman says about being "friendly" to businesses fact is he and the County Board are getting ready to raise fees and taxes again to pay for their extravagant projects and give-aways to their pet special interests. Zimmerman's charade about being "business friendly" is just a ploy to keep tapped-out small companies like mine from moving to a business-friendly location. Shame on the so-called Chamber of Commerce and its media shills (you know who you are, Scotty) for going along.

Kenneth

Why have small businesses in town offering valuable services for hire, when we can have vacant street-level retail with picture windows that reflect the the Reitminister's preening visage?

See anyone at the Chamber telling Frank O'Leary it's time to end the car tax decal program? Some Republicans.

The Chairman of the Board of Foxes is afraid the chickens who lay the golden eggs will fly the coop.

The Chamber will throw a Gala to celebrate Frank's 2011 decal competition. McCafftonelli will provide extensive coverage in the Sun Fisette.

Look for a 5% or 6% tax increase this year, and an increase in all, or almost all, fees.

Arlington Chamber only helps big business.

Chamber will also organize another junket to China to outsource all service sector jobs that were somehow overlooked during last year's Chamber junket to China.

Where were Chamberpot Scott, Zimmerman, and the Arlington Chamber when the County Board voted three weeks ago to impose a regressive tax on small business in the form of the Ballston BID?

One thing they won't talk about is how much all the extravagant infrastructure they are building is going to cost to maintain and replace.
