Massive Pike Corridor Gentrification + HOT Lanes Litigation =

Hello, Yupette,

Can someone please answer the following question? Why is the County Board continuing its HOT Lanes litigation against VDOT when Zimmerman is going to gentrify out 20,000 low and moderate wage workers who live in South Arlington to Prince William, Spotsylvania, Caroline, and other counties south of Arlington?

Because Chris Zimmweman is Arlington's Guru of Gridlock + Arlington's Urban Village Idiot.

Good question. Ask Shirlington neighborhood resident + Chamber of Commerce promoter Scott McCaffrey. Maybe he will ask the squirrels in his neighborhood for an answer the next time he's looking to them for inspiration for his next Sun Gazette column.

Zimmerman was asked about HOT Lanes litigation + traffic from Mark Center BRAC development last Saturday. He refused to answer.

All affordable housingon the Pike must be destroyed to make way for expensive condos that will boost real estate tax revenue to fund expensive pet projects. If you don't earn at least $100,000 per year you are going to have to commute from PW County. No more poor people in Arlington.

Was the affrdable housing public forum at GMU tonight a charade, or what?

Reality Check - More than 600 restaurant, hotel, supermarket, etc., jobs were created in Shirlington. More than 1500 parking spaces were constructed in Shirlington. Fifteen (15) affordable housing units were constructed in Shirlington. By the same County Board members who have spent more than $1.5 million suing VDOT over HOT lanes.

How do you like this for a squeeze play? County hired attorneys for HOT lanes suit from Schnader, Harris, Segal and Lewis in previous litigation quashed commercial development in outer counties. Displaced workers won't be able to get jobs where they are forced to move.

Where is the NAACP? Congratulating itself for this month's Martin Luther King, Jr. tribute gala?

NAACP is preparing for the State of the Union party and 2 weeks of Super Bowl parties.

Zimmerman again refused to answer the question about what happens when 100,000+ commuters reach the EFC Metro station from Tysons and Dulles.

I would be happy to obtain 100 signatures on a recall petition to remove this turkey from office.

Did you know that the Planning Commissioner who Zimmy has entrusted with future planning for Arlington County is retiring, leaving the County, and will return to make guest appearances for more mega-development, just like Carrie 'Nana from Montana' Johnson?

Hey, Yupette, just found out that Zimmerman has persuaded a majority of the School Board to sign on to his massive re-segregation plan.

Not surprising, removes working class and ESL students whose parents aren't college grads and don't have the disposable income for various enrichment programs.

How much are Zimmerman's out of state pro-gentrification consultants costing the taxpayers?
