EFC Residents Have the Right to Tranquility in Our Homes

Hello, Ms. Yupette,

Did you know that the Code of Virginia affords Virginians the absolute right to tranquility in our homes? It's in the Code of Virginia, Sections 18.2-418 and 18.2-419. Pretty specific that a group can't assemble near our homes and make a lot of noise. So why is Barbara Favola allowing this to happen in our Tuckahoe neighborhood to benefit her employer, Marymount University? She was elected to enforce the laws of Virginia, not the wants of her employer, for whom she is Chief Lobbyist.

Same Barbara Favola who recently spent a few million tax dollars moving DHS way down Washington Boulevard so she wouldn't have to see poor people in her neighborhood?

How about Barbara Favola's sidekick, Mary "Party's Over Here" Hynes. Who told the partiers in Clarendon they have to keep the noise and partying down until after she's re-elected.

This is the same Barbara Favola who had DHS moved to Washington Boulevard from her neighborhood in Clarendon-Lyon Village at a cost of millions to taxpayers because she doesn't like poor people being anywhere close to her.

Nada Tejada is also solidly behind the soccerization of EFC-Williamsburg. He lives in Dominion Hills, BTW, and nowhere close to EFC.

Where does Barbara Favola actually live? Lyon Village? Cherrydale? Both?

EFC Task Force consultant David Fields is a principal in Nelson/Nygaard Associates New York City office, engaged by Babs and the Guru of Gridlock to Manhattanize East Falls Church area. Fields provides political cover by producing conceptual streetscape views framed by photoshopped trees that block out the concrete jungle. You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool us.

No surprise, McCaffrey posted a fictional PR handout from the County's Reitminister of Information and Propaganda regarding the DHS move to Washington Blvd, which was at Barbara Favola's insistence. But then McCaffrey endorsed her for re-election in 2008 even though he knew she was and is responsible for tens of millions in handouts of tax dollars to Marymount and her other pet non-profits.

Do you know who the Chair of the Planning Commission's Long Range Planning Committee is? None other than Nancy Hunt who was instrumental in the "planning" of Shirlington that is now destroying the quality of life in Fairlington thanks to the County Board's give-away to Federal Realty. But why should she care? She lives at the end of a dead end Fairlington street when she's not spending weekends in Upperville with her horsey friends..

LBF, it figures, an out-of-state "planning" consultant. Can an out-of-state REIT be far behind?

Barbara Favola is an Eleanor Roosevelt Liberal all for more services for the poor...as long as she doesn't have to live anywhere close to them.

I would like to see a blog posting about the illegal acts by local Republican federal employees against "liberal" and "green" activists that the Bush Administration condoned.

Appears to me that Reitsfuhrer Von Zimmerman has already made promises to a REIT or REITs and the next major hurdle is getting the sheeple in EFC, Westover, and Williamsburg to "conform".

Nancy Hunt chaired the site plan review committee for Shirlington redevelopment and started and spread numerous rumors about Fairlington residents (including filing false complaints with the Arlington PD) who saw Federal Realty's plans for Shirlington as a huge mess that were going to destroy the quality of life in Fairlington. It helped that she was a condo association president and civic association president in Fairlington. The Bush Administration allowed her to coordinate the Shirlington "planning" and attacks against those who opposed FRIT's plans, from her office in the Treasury Dept despite complaints about her malicious e-mail.

This is the malicious elitist REPUBLICAN who Von Zimmerman has placed in charge of "planning" EFC redevelopment.

What do you suppose Arlington Republican Committee Chairman Chris Berg and neocon John Antonelli were doing at "work" at the Labor Department and Justice Department during the Bush Administrration?

Then there are the Republican Moderates like Mark Kelly, whose unofficial campaign motto was "Government of the REITs, by the REITs, and for the REITs".

Look for a Herr Reitsfurher feint to deflect attention -- local, politically well-connected developer fronting for a REIT syndicate or subvertly running a turnkey (over to a REIT) project. The plan is set.

Code of Virginia also prohibits slander, false reports to the police, and graft.

LBF, only recourse is to say NO to anything proposed by anyone associated with County Government and demand a total redesign that in no way resembles Shirlington. That is, a one-for-one replacement of the old buildings with new buildings of the same size.

Oh, and speaking of non-residents, I resent Martin Walsh, Managing Partner of Walsh Colucci, who lives in McLean, imposing a sports complex on Tuckahoe representing Marymount and O'Connell. Same Walsh Colucci that represented FRIT when Shirlington was made into a mess.

Tejada and Hynes will go along with anything Zimmerman proposes. Let's vote them out in November. Next neighborhood they destroy may be yours.

Hynes has no respect for the tranquility of her own neighborhood. She only told the partiers to keep the noise down because she's running for re-election.

Dave Alberts and Lisa Maher on County Staff repeatedly threatened Fairlington residents who objected to Shirlington over-development with arrest by the Arlington Police.

BTW, President Obama stopped the repeated break-ins and searches of green and progressive activists' homes by federal and local law enforcement soon after he took office.

Who would replace Tejada? 2010 Republican Soccer Dad of the Year, Mark Kelly?
