Hi Yupette,
Response from Chris 'Safety Last' Zimmerman's Traffic Calming Staff at 2100 Clarendon Blvd. is that they don't have the 'resources' to provide 'Keep Kids Alive Drive 25' signs to Arlington's neighborhoods that want to install and maintain them.
Same "Safety Last' Zimmerman who approved funding to install art in a stream bed last Tuesday.

Of course not, they can't install traffic calming if people aren't speeding.
Arlington Traffic Calming Staff smells to high heaven. The First Skunk is Jeff Sikes.
Want to know the most corrupt area of Arlington County Government except for Inspection Services and Code Enforcement?
Transportation Division, Transportation Planning, Transportation Commission.
Housing is a close third.
Transportation Planning in Virginia is an oxymoron.
Transportation Planning in Virginia is the responsibility of the Virginia Auto Dealers Association subsidiary - VDOT.
You know, many of these developers do not want a 400 vehicle parking garage under a 200 foot building - County Government requires them to build one. You should talk to the developers sometime.
County Staff does what it is told to do by the Dumb Growth County Board.
Code Enforcement? You mean the "allow the neighborhood to deteriorate so we can re-develop it" branch of the Economic Development Division?
Enough of Arlington's corrupt Transportation Crewe.
I ordered "Keep Kids Alive...Drive 25" signs by going to keepkidsalive.com
All Zimmerman., Fisette, and the other sleazy scum in County Government want to do to make our kids heart transplant donors for the charter members of Club Hedo Arlington.
The sooner we get ALL these Sleazepublican and Sleazicrat transportation slime in front of Federal Grand Jury, starting with "Safety Last" Zimmerman, the better.
Only honest member of Club Hedo Arlington is their tireless promoter, Scott McCaffrey, who recently admitted that he takes "gratuities" from the local scoundrels.
If anyone were ever to make a feature length film about the political career of Chris Zimmerman, it would be called "Other People's Money." Zimmerman came from some large Eastern city where the quality of life was so great that he decided to leave. Was it somewhere in New Jersey? Since he moved to South Arlington in 1980, I think it was, he has managed to keep getting elected year after year after year. Where is he SUPPOSED to be drawing his actual, reported to the IRS, paycheck? The National League of Cities, I think it is. He is trying to turn Arlington, Virginia, a pleasant, once leafy suburb with good schools into a congested, expensive, traffic jam where no one would want to live unless they had a private helipad to get themselves ferried out to Dulles International Airport to avoid all the congestion. He has taxed and taxed and spent and spent. He has hired a man who was fired by another Democrat for spending too much money. That Democrat was Mayor Doug Wilder of Richmond. The fired employee was hired by Arlington County as the director of parks and recreation six months after the Richmond Times-Dispatch reported he had been fired by Doug Wilder.
While you have to agree that Doug Wilder is both a Democrat and a member of a minority group in Virginia, actually an African American, it is also clear that Zimmerman does not care for Wilder's opinions.
Zimmerman, however, wants to prove he is not a racist. To make his point, he is suing the state of Virginia claiming that high occupancy vehicle lanes in the state are racist. Perhaps those who ignore headlines about how fellow Democratic who are African American fired a particular employee for spending too much money, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, are racist themselves. Chris Zimmerman and the board ignored the claims made by the Richmond paper that Mayor Doug Wilder fired the Richmond Director of Parks and Recreation and proceeded to hire that same employee six months later to head the Arlington Recreation and Parks Department. Those who ignore the good things that African Americans do and question their wisdom are probably racist, aren't they?
So who's a racist and who isn‘t? If Chris Zimmerman has to spend $1 million in tax funds out of your pocket to pay an outside law firm to bring this lawsuit, a lawsuit condemned by both political parties in Richmond, then perhaps we could say, “the gentleman doth protest too much,” couldn’t we?
So who is a racist? What is a racist? Organizations and individuals who appoint token women and token members of minority and ethnic groups to token positions on their staff, who allow minorities and those of certain ethnic groups to run for certain political posiitons just to attract votes that conceal the fact that it is they, white, rich, married to the rich, or whatever, who are pulling the strings and have the real power, those people are worse than racists. They are tank political opporrunists and do not deserve your vote for any poliitcal office.
