Hi Yupette,
Arlington County Treasurer Frank O'Leary rewarded the Sun Gazette for again endorsing Frank's total waste of tax dollars car tax decal program by providing Sun Gazette Editor Scott McCaffrey with extensive and confidential personal and corporate tax information about candidates who oppose Zimmerman and Baird for County Board and School Board. Much of this confidential information was obtained from O'Leary's political ally, Commissioner of the Revenue Ingrid Morroy.
McCaffrey recently admitted, in his personal Sun Gazette blog, that he is seeking all the "comps" he can get when interacting with people and organizations he contacts as Editor of several Sun Gazette newspapers.

I am not at all surprised. The Sun Gazette's parent, American Community Newspapers, is a cesspool of corporate greed and intrigue.
O'Leary's car tax decal program is a total waste of tax dollars and costs taxpayers at least $250,000 a year. O'Leary is taking heat for this personal ego trip and McCaffrey is (obviously) only too happy to help Frank in return for being "comped" with confidential tax information about the "loopy lefties" who Scott despises.
After reading the Post's completely biased coverage of Fenty vs. Gray nothing I read or hear about the media surprises me.
In case you wondered who in local law enforcement engages in retribution against the "lefties" for not going along with the program it's not the police department.
Let me guess - Sheriff's Department?
Ingrid should know better.
Scotty McCaffrey was dishing dirt with Sheriff Arthur at the NAACP banquet.
Chief Scott told a police department commander to find other employment after he was caught targeting lefties. Guess where he works now?
Let me guess - Sheriff's Office?
I'd like to know where they obtained the "microwave hearing" device they use against people who don't conform that makes them think they are hearing voices inside their heads.
Why is there any mystery about why Mike Brown resigned?
"Microwave hearing" gun was part of law enforcement grant funding approved by the County Board. Buried in the consent agenda.
There was massive targeting of anti-war activists by the Bush Administration which has been drastically reduced under Obama.
However, a Republican Congress would be pushing to start a war with Iran and concomitantly renew the massive surveillance, warrant less burglaries, and constant harassment of "socialists."
How about all those secret tunn....err national security transportation infrastructure?
Read Bob Woodward's latest book? What the military, intelligence agencies, and neocons want is perpetual warfare in the third world so they can maintain a perpetual state of emergency here in the U.S.
Mike Brown was used to dealing with a docile minority population in Savannah, not highly educated and up-tight people who become furious when anyone starts messing with their public library.
Check out today's Wall Street Journal. American Community Newspapers's owner, General Electric, is awash in cash and only looking for more cash to fund acquisitions and could care less how corrupt its newspapers are, as long as they meet their quarterly profit targets.
Half of O'Leary's staff are no-shows, work at homes, or on the job retirees.
