We can expect to see some really creative things happening in Arlington now that Mike Brown is County Manager. Like a student production of "Sweeney Todd".
Tonight, May 18th, the County Board and its appointees on the so-called "Planning Commission" will discuss their plans for Yuppie Arlington - 2015. Surprise - there are no surprises, more of the same, and worse.
If you examine the Creative Coast Alliance's Web site you will see that there are NO minorities or information about minorities AT ALL. It's all about highly educated whites.

How about a Yuppie Sister Cities Program? Savannah is the place to start. Mike Brown was Yuppie before Yuppie was cool.

Creative Coast Alliance's four priorities (from the CCCa Web Site):
Networking and Social Events
Educational and Professional Development
Entrepreneurial Efforts
Competitions
I doubt that we will see Sweeney Todd in the schools. It's not on the Arlington Chamber of Commerce's to do list.
Creative Coast? How about a Yuppie Beach Party?
He's a lot older than I thought he was.
