According to several get-along go-along Arlington "Republicrats" a 5% to 10% residential real estate tax increase is "almost certain" next year.

Hi Yupette, with the increase in fees the tax increase will be about 7%.

May be something like 8%. Depends on the November County Board election.

The 5% increase that the fiscal affairs commission projects does not include the big projects the County Board will approve between now and July.

Every other political group in Arlington, Repubs, Independents, Greens, is preaching fiscal responsibility.

County Board has a dual agenda of massively funding new recreation and entertainment infrastructure and handing out massive grants to every non-profit with its hands out looking for a handout.

Yupette, best estimate of the number of kids attending public schools in Arlington whose parents don't live here is about 400. Cost is $25,000 per student per year.

That's only $10 million. Seen the estimates of how much it will cost to underground the high voltage power lines in and along Four Mile Run for the County's park and entertainment center?

Now don't forget, those hardly working Board members will have to add on a raise and other perks for themselves. Best thing to do is zip your wallet and get the hell out of Dodge before they clean you out.

Yeah, do a "Carrie Johnson" and buy a rancho deluxe in Montana.

Barbara Favola indicated there would be at least a 5% real estate tax increase at the monthly Dem. Party meeting.

With fees increased the tax hike will be closer to 10 percent than 5 percent.

The Republicans go right along. They're the County Board's favorite starters of malicious gossip and spreaders of rumors.

Yeah, don't oppose the status quo or the County Board's pet Republicans will tell everyone you cheat on your wife, beat your dog, starve your kids, and grow pot in your basement.

No, Karen Murray, John Antonelli, Nancy Hunt, and Jim Pebley would never do anything like that.

Yeah, ole "Fapper John" is a veritable tree hugger these days.

Don't forget the CB's pet financial advisor, Wayne Kubicki, and pet journalist, Scott McCaffrey.

Anyone have a list of the projects the CB approved at the last meeting and how much they are going to cost?

I would like to know know why Arlington County is providing a group of right-wing amateur radio vigilantes with equipment and use of emergency and non-emergency facilities in Arlington. They don't even live in Arlington County. EVERY f-ing group that stick's it's hand out in Arlington gets a f-ing handout.
