Theo Stamos for Commonwealth's Attorney

Hello,

Given the direction Arlington County's been headed since before the last Commonwealth's Attorney election, in 2011, and the very different perspectives of the candidates running this year for Commonwealth's Attorney, the choice for Commonweralth's Attorney isn't difficult - re-elect Theo Stamos.

As one Independent told us: The difference between Theo Stamos and Parisa Dehghani-Tafti is the difference between "Party's Over Here in Arlington" and "Woodstock's Over Here in Arlington".

Theo Stamos's current term of office coincided with the rise and fall of pub crawls in the B-R Corridor, near-universal scofflaw behavior by bicyclists, electric scooter riders, and pedestrians, and almost complete lack of community policing in Arlington's residential neighborhoods away from major arterials. Which we blame on the Progressive-Democrat County Board and ACPD, which would rather chase "bad guys" and earn lots of overtime being a nanny police force for Millennials than engage in any community policing. We also blame the avaricious and reckless local media, especially ArlNow, for putting profits over responsible journalism.

We don't like to think about what a circus the County would become if Parisa Dehghani-Tafti became Arlington Commonwealth's Attorney. Therefore AY endorses Theo Stamos in Tuesday's Democratic Primary.

When (if ever) does the discussion about the future of New Urbanism start? Why do I, as politically Independent, have to conform not only to decades of one-party government but to the ideology of the government's state religion?

With Parisa-Dehghani-Tafti as Commonwealth's Attorney we get to pay the cops even more overtime watching Millennials drink cheap beer at festivals and smoke marijuana at 420 events.

There is already near-zero enforcement of traffic ordinances related to pedestrians, skateboards, bicycles, electric scooters. Looks to me like Parisa would accelerate the Bicycle Cult's jihad against motor vehicles, aided and abetted by skank local media.

Costs / benefits of 35+ years of New Urbanism can't even be mentioned in this County. Only things mentioned are more and more PR, Infomercials, and Advertising for more and more Dumb Growth.

Benefits of New Urbanism? What Benefits? You mean like for the VIPs who work for REITs, Developers, Planners, Consultants, etc., and who live in McLean get to laugh all the way driving a mile to the bank located in a classic suburban strip plaza a mile from their luxury suburban enclaves?

You forgot to mention the Skank Media VIPs who've boosted Dumb Growth for a Decade and more.

Boycott - Don't Visit - ArlNow !!! Our Future as a Suburban County Depends on Keeping our Suburban County Suburban !!!

Time for Libby Garvey to retire and take her Bike Cultster Agenda to where it's needed and appreciated - Portland Oregon.

She should take that $oro$-funded PO$ Pari$a with her.

Time for Libby Garvey to take herself, and her mega-pension after 25 years in County Government, to anti-gun pro-bike Portland Oregon.

Agree. Don't visit ArlNow.

Right. More cops earning more overtime standing around watching Millennials getting stoned at the 420 Festival. Just what we don't need.

There's already a cover-up by Arlington Police and County Government regarding pedestrian injuries caused by scooter riders and bicyclists, especially on Arlington's trails.

Anonymous said...

Right. Return of Pub Crawls. Still more cops earning still more overtime. Something else we don't need.

Don't enough low-income and no-income D.C residents, of all races, hang out in Arlington already? Generating many 'suspicious person' complaints that the police have to investigate. If Parisa Dehghani-Tafti becomes Commonwealth's Attorney the message her campaign is sending is Arlington will tolerate more free range behavior than it does already.

Like most of the promoters and boosters of New Urbanism as Arlington's sole social, economic, and environmental planning paradigm, George Soros lives nowhere near Arlington.

I am sick and tired of VIPs who don't and won't live in Arlington having so much influence over our future.

"Party's Over Here in Arlington"? No fooling. Why so many festivals that require a police, fire department, and EMS presence? Yesterday there was a freaking Recycling Festival in the Trades Center.

Anonymous said...

I DO NOT need nor want any more Arlington cops standing around earning massive amounts of overtime watching Millennials at a Marijuana Festival while there is ZERO community policing in my neighborhood.

George Soros lives in Upstate New York. Last I saw several big cities in Upstate New York, like Buffalo, have very serious social and economic problems. Why doesn't he spend his money in his own back yard?

Anonymous said...

George Soros should have someone drive him up the Hudson Valley from where he lives. He won't have to travel far to see some down and out communities.

Rather than go after his fellow Liberals who have ruled and ruined his own back yard, NY State, for decades (e.g., the Cuomo Family) George Soros would rather spend the loot from his corporate piracy to inflict Socialist Progressivism, the successor to Liberal Liberalism, on jurisdictions elsewhere that are already left of center.

I think you meant "Limousine Liberalism".

Anonymous said...

We already have Limousine Liberalism - Mark Warner, Don Beyer, Terry McAuliffe, Tim Kaine....

Never mind the electric scooter riders, more dangerous to pedestrians are the electric skateboard riders. Where's ACPD? Second biggest activity for ACPD's cowboy / cowgirl cops, after earning a huge amount of overtime at events and festivals, is chasing shoplifters.

Anonymous said...

Right. ACPD - Arlington's Mall and Convenience Store Security Force.

Anonymous said...

This all sucks. How much worse would it be if Parisa were Commonwealth's Attorney?

Anonymous said...

LOL. You mean like when the Progressive Socialist Cult takes over the General Assembly and bans firearms altogether in Arlington, except for Arlington's Cowboy / Cowgirl Law Enforcement?

Anonymous said...

It's already a Cowboy / Cowgirl Police Force. They L O V E chasing "Bad Guys" who are Driving While Latino and Driving While Black.

Anonymous said...

Can you imagine the ****** ZOO this County will become if Parisa is elected? I can.

Arlington Cops LOVE ticketing tourists who are Driving While Lost while ignoring the reckless and dangerous behavior by bicyclists, scooter riders, and pedestrians. But that's gonna end after someones gets hit and killed walking on a sidewalk.

Voted for Theo. Told Parisa's poll workers that this tiny County's already a mess and we don't need more.

Last Responsible Adult out of Arlington...Please turn out the lights.

Parisa Elected...Totally Sucks...I'm moving to (redacted) where the Smart Growth Boosters live and which is gonna be off-limits to Dumb Growth until at least my kids are outta high school...in 8 years.

Anonymous said...

Yeah...like many others I will rent my Arlington TH and buy a single family home in (redacted) or (redacted) and continue to vote in Arlington and send my kids to APS when we have kids, in the not too distant future.

Look at what's occurred in Seattle since Amazon. Opioid epidemic on top of a homelessness epidemic. Progressive Socialists who run Seattle think free-range homelessness is 'cool' just like their parents 30 years ago.

Anonymous said...

Arlington's Millennials want a return to the good old days of unrestricted pub crawls and tolerance for various types of disorderly conduct. That's why.

Two Independents are running for County Board. Dump Cristol and Dorsey in November.

It's not only marijuana possession that won't be enforced, also cocaine possession.

Watch for the Homeless starting to live in tents inside-the-beltway starting pretty soon.

Write-in Theo Stamos in November !!!
