Hello, Yupette,
County Board meetings resume in three weeks. More of the same on the agenda as before the Summer break.
How did this County get into a Car Free Diet program which is putting more vehicles in more new parking spaces and creating more vehicle trips?
How did the County get into an Affordable Housing program which is not building housing for low wage workers? Or students? Or interns? Or elderly persons living solely on Social Security benefits?
If all the County is doing is enriching real estate trusts and automotive dealers, why waste tens of millions every year on programs that are complete charades?
Something to think about before next month's County Board meeting.

End the "affordable housing" program. Start a workforce housing program.
But, what would the County do with all the employees who drive around in pickup trucks and Priuses telling us we have to ride bicycles 24/7/365?
How many new parking spaces are on the agenda for next month's meeting?
How many additional parking spaces in the new Lubber Run Community Center, on next month's agenda?
There will be Taj Mahal parking under Taj Mahal offices at Lubber Run for Parks and Rec employees who drive to Lubber Run from PW County...after dropping their kids off at Arlington schools.
Remind me what the County's independent internal auditor is supposed to be doing.
The "affordable housing" program is a big fraud. It's actually a Millennial housing program.
It rained yesterday. See anyone on a bicycle? How much does this de facto patronage program cost us?
Affordable housing program is actual fraud. Between 0% and 5% of the apartments go to people making $10 an hour working in restaurants and retail.
The Greedy Media "go along with the program". Any program. Every program. That why.
I just received the County's car free diet brochure in the mail along with the quarterly newsletter. What a bunch or propaganda.
