Received the County's 'Car Free Diet' brochure in the mail on Saturday. Just in time for the Arlington Public School System's 'Drive Your Kid to School Day' today. This year facilitated by not one but two Arlington police officers at our elementary school. Oh, no one dared to ride a bicycle to school because of the traffic.
Why do APS and County Government waste our time and money with these charades? The traffic to and from our schools is worse than ever. Only difference is.the arrival times are spread out and the cops are on the scene to keep the traffic moving.
No Howze am I going to vote for another Democrat for County Board or School Board. Every year we pay more for less because of the Democrats' Stupid Growth.

Isn't the same APS Facilities and Operations staff that's promising Taj Mahal elementary schools to the PTA parents also supposed to be planning a school traffic reduction program?

For what? Telling 50-somethings and 60-somethings to ride bicycles to work in the winter?
FYI... mass bicycle tours are in our future where dozens to hundreds of bicyclists will travel on lengthy tours through the County...at 5 miles per hour.
From the same Democratic Regime that wants streetcars on the Pike at 11 miles per hour.

Bicycles are total bull$hit. Another group that pays no taxes that we heavily subsidize with tax dollars.
I'm 61 years old and no one is doing anything for me except spending my tax dollars on projects and programs I will never use like streetcars and promoting massive use of bicycles by everyone in all kinds of weather.
Where were all the kids bicycling to school yesterday? Too much traffic. LOL.

'Less is More'? You got that right. Less open space, don't drive...ride a bicycle, infill every neighborhood.
Of course the Arlington Democrat VIPs exempt themselves and their upscale neighborhoods from what they constantly impose on us and our neighborhoods.
