Fisette's 'Community Energy Plan' = More Pollution + More Energy Use / Waste

Hey Yupette,

Another County Board meeting. Another major charade approved by the County Board. Yesterday it was Gentrification J. Fisette's so-called 'Community Energy Plan'.

What a turkey. The County's energy use is skyrocketing. County keeps adding more parking for more vehicles. More workers drive in and out of Arlington because they can't afford to live here. More massive in-fill replacing small buildings that could have been upgraded to consume little energy if the County Board weren't allowing them to deteriorate so they could be replaced by massive in-fill. More 'energy efficient' McMansions replacing small homes. A so-called 'district energy plan' that's analogous to replacing diesel locomotives with steam locomotives on the Norfolk Southern. Approved by Washington Gas. Demand for more electricity will be supplied by massive new coal-fired power plants in southwest Virginia. Solar panels? What are they? Approval rubber stamped by the County Board's colleagues at the Arlington Democratic Committee who serve on the advisory commissions and/or serve as ACDC's de facto ward heelers.

FYI, the Chairman of the Arlington Green Party was on the panel that approved Fi$ette's 'planning' charade.

"District Energy Plan"? We sold our condo (constructed in 1978) because the homeowners association was always assessing us for repairs to the central heating and a/c system. We also had to pay for constant servicing and, finally, replacing the heat exchanger and associated plumbing inside our unit. What a mess.

District Energy Plan is a much larger version of your former condo association's central heating and a/c system. Yes, centralized systems are analogous to steam locomotives

C02 from burning anything is still CO2

Meanwhile, Dominion is spending $100 million on new infrastructure to provide more power obtained from burning oil, natural gas, and coal to the B-R Corridor.

FYI, Fisette's domestic partner has Dominion, Washington Gas, NRECA, and other heavy users and suppliers of fossil fuel as long-time clients.

Anyone familiar with the way the corrupt County Board works knows that before Jay will play you have to pay Doctor Rob.

Did Washington Gas rubber stamp Jay Fisette's comminity energy plan yesterday or did Jay rubber stamp the Washington Gas community energy plan?

Dominion isn't going to spend $10 billion replacing an old nuclear plant with a new nuclear plant when Dominion can build a new coal fired plant near the coal fields for $1 billion ...or less.

Pay to play? Check out what's happening with DC City Council....today's Wash Post.

You know it's going to be a charade when 20 of Fisette's ACDC 'facilitators' attend a CB meeting and voice support for one of his plans.

Did you see the Post Metro Section yesterday? There's so much natural gas being obtained from fracking along the East Coast that Dominion is going to be exporting a lot of it. So, for at least the next couple decades, CO2 from natural gas will increasingly replace CO2 from coal. Until the U.S. starts running out of natural gas, about 2040.

Legacy of the Greenpublicrat Establishment that currently controls Arlington - no long term vision, long term planning, long term anything.

Or, Dominion can use natural gas from fracking for new power plants, which will cost a lot less than $1 billion each for new coal-fired plants.

Where's the Solar? said...

Dominion's going to export "clean natural gas" from fracking and earn a huge profit while building new "clean coal" fired power plants in Virginia. Convincing Dominion to be environmentally responsible is like trying to beat sense into a dumb dog.

Meanwhile, less than 100 miles from Arlington, solar panels are going up everywhere.

1) Ain't it the truth!
2) So what else is new, the "board" members have been pulling these types of shenanigans for years and all the Arlington "voters" (i.e., brain-dead zombies) do is keep voting them back in every time there is an election. Shoot, at least have a massive write-in for Bugs Bunny or Daffy Duck (which is about what our votes are worth in Arlington).

So, how does replacing a 30,000 sq foot commercial building that's used 10 hours per day with a 120,000 sq foot hotel building that's constantly in use and requires 20 times more energy become part of the County's "energy planning"? Ditto for the rest of the in-fill in the B-R corridor.

"Planning" is done by public-private-non-profit VIPs who live in McMansions in affluent neighbors of Fairfax County, that's how.

Face it USA is a Regime like any Third World Regime. Federal, State, and Local levels. We have been 'locked down' since 2001 by the Regime's police forces. We have numerous Regime plans, programs, activities imposed on us and there is nothing whatever we can do about it. All the political parties are culpable and responsible. They all have members employed in national security and law enforcement. Did Dennis Kucinich warn us about Prism? Did Ron Paul warn us about Prism? Did Bernie Sanders warn us about Prism? They were briefed repeatedly by the Republicratic Administrations.

Fisette's charade burn more fossil fuels plan to support more urbanization is just another Regime program imposed on us by another corrupt local Regime that's been in power for more than 30 years and is so corrupt that it regularly and blatantly steals money from street paving to fund entertainment. Just like what happens in Third World Regimes.
