Endorsements - August 23rd Democratic Primary

Hello

Arlington Yupette does not accept advertising. Our volunteers do not offer for-profit 'consulting services' to developers, non-profits, etc. Our volunteers are not 'committee members' of any political party, or board members of any non-profit, or for-profit organization.

Our volunteers attended debates, read campaign literature, talked with candidates, and determined what candidates actually accomplished if elected. So here are our endorsements for Tuesday's Arlington Democratic Primary:

For Virginia Senate 30th District - Rob Krupicka

For Virginia Senate 31st District - Jaime Areizaga-Soto

For House of Delegates, 49th District - Stephanie Clifford

For Commonwealth's Attorney - David Deane

Polls open at 6 AM and close at 7 PM. You don't have to be a Democrat to vote. This is a primary election, not a party caucus. You don't have to promise to support Democratic candidates in November. See you at the polls on Tuesday..

Susan

Good choices, Susan.

I don't see how there could be any other choices, if we want Arlington to move forward.

Generally speaking, the candidates aligned with the Arlington Democratic Committee talk about themselves too much and not enough about us. I agree with AY's endorsements.

Theo Stamos is downright frightening. She's embraced a 'progressive criminalization of human behavior' agenda and is using scare tactics to push us in that direction.

Where Arlington's going under the present Democratic Leadership is toward some half-baked version of Egypt under Mubarak.

Yes, and we know that Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, among other Democrats, were quite comfortable with Egypt under Mubarak.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, they and the other Elitists all watched the archeology reality shows, starring Mubarak's good bud.

When it comes to scaring Americans "everybody does it", whether it's Fox News, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, local television, the newspapers, AOL, Comcast, Time-Warner, blogs, etc.

Theo Stamos, what a mess...

I'm sitting out the next 4 years. Let them Mubarak Arlington County. The FBI will do its undercover thing and they will all be sent up the Susquehanna for about 10 years apiece.

Worst besides Favola are (tie) Garvey and Ebbin, couple of me, me, me BSers who want to get elected to wage political war against anti-gay pro-guns Ken Cuccinelli.

Stephanie Clifford was a pleasant surprise. Someone who seems to care about us, rather than about making deals in smoke-filled rooms.

Theo Stamos is a nut case. Just like her boss, Dick Trodden. She will scare the stressed-out Yuppie Mommies into helping her and Libby and Barbara criminalize anything that's presently considered to be innocent and fun.

Female Arlington police officers (almost all of Western European ancestry) LOVE Theo Stamos....they have had a jihad going against minority males for more than a decade.

Theo Stamos has a "thing" about Latino guys...she wants to lock them up...then deport them.

Sheesh said...

Sheesh....I always wondered why Latino guys (including Walter Tejada) got reported as 'suspicious persons' in Westover, Theo's neighborhood.

There is major league racism and prejudice in the ranks of the Arlington police department and Commonwealth's Attorney's office.

Pretty appalling that a Yupscale Latino guy who happens to be a member of the board of supervisors is not welcome at the supermarket / open air restaurant that was in serious zoning difficulties until the board of supervisors intervened.

Anonymous said...

I agree that Arlington County is headed toward becoming a half-baked version of Egypt under Mubarak.

Anonymous said...

Theo Stamos only wants to lock people up. Especially minorities.

Why doesn't Theo Stamos do anything about the good old boys at the Forest Inn? 'Cause they have the right under the Free Range Redneck Protection Act to act like a-holes without interference from the local constabulary. Besides, they add "local color" to Westover.

Fortunately I missed Theo Stamos when she was on her walking tour of Democratic households. She sent me a letter full of scare words. That's all the old yellow dog Democrats can do, scare us when they are not picking our pockets to fund their pet projects.

Arlington's female police officers don't have a jihad against minority males, they have a jihad against ALL males.

When a call comes in to 911 about a couple arguing about who takes out the garbage female Arlington police officers speed through neighborhoods to be the first on the scene to confront the "abusive male perpetrator".

Arlington police are also really good at enforcing 'resegregation through gentrification'.

Anonymous said...

Free Range Rednecks? How about zero enforcement of motorcycle noise ordinances by the police and commonwealth atty's office?

Theo Stamos is a classic Reagan-era Yupette.

TY said...

The United States under the past 5 Administrations was totally accepting of the Mubarak regime...including the White House and State Department.

Anonymous said...

Even more shameful: the past 4 Administrations became increasingly cozy with Ghadaffi.

Cindy said...

Stamos would continue Trodden's policy of prosecuting poor minorities for drug dealing and drug use while allowing yups to use and abuse drugs until they either grow up or enter rehab.

Agree with A.Y.'s endorsements and will vote accordingly tomorrow.

If I saw Theo Stamos walking through my neighborhood knocking on Dem's doors I would be frightened enough to call 911 and report her as a 'suspicious person'.

Gee, I wonder why minorities never attend CivFed meetings, never attend neighborhood meetings, never attend neighborhood festivals, never attend planning meetings.........

Pike Rider said...

Ask Chris Zimmerman why no Latinos attended his Pike Walk last week.

I suggested our Civic Association reach out to Latinos in the neighborhood -- the response was to double the dues.
