Hello Yupette,
I am happy to see representatives of the Democratic, Republican, and Green parties were all exasperated with the management and operation of the Artisphere and spoke out at last evening's County Board meeting.
Republican Robert Atkins denounced the waste of tax dollars used to subsidize the Artisphere. Green Party Candidate for County Board Audrey Clement asked County Government to provide financial data to indicate when the Artisphere would become self-sustaining. Democrat Peter Owen criticized the Artisphere's lease agreement as censoring performing arts groups.
Response from the County Board was "Don't worry, be happy, we'll work it out, etc."
So even when all three political parties speak to the County Board on an issue, the County Board doesn't listen. Typical of every County Board meeting. It's obviously time for all the County Board incumbents to retire.

I think Mary Hynes is the worst. Nothing from her but sanctimonious drivel.
I agree with Audrey Clement. Time for marketing and other data to indicate when the Artisphere will be self-sustaining.
How was Monday Properties allowed to propose lease agreements that censor performing artists in the Artisphere?
Is the Artisphere an adult entertainment center or a teenage rec center?
It's a prototype for Wakefield High School - 2014.
Atkins is right, Artisphere is a rat hole.
Why no major fundraising?
Artisphere is nothing more or less than using tax dollars to buy the votes of the yuptard 'creative class' who would spend $80 to see the racing pigs from the county fair dressed in costumes and running around a stage.
The lease won't allow pigs as performing artists.
Lease won't allow rats as performing artists either. Try the $ignature rat hole.
What's the difference between the bloated PRCR bureaucracy that wants to grow by keeping the Artisphere operating and the bloated DHS bureaucracy that wants to keep the homeless homeless?
