Hello, Yupette,
Thank you for hosting this blog. Do you want to know how much County Treasurer Frank O'Leary's vehicle decal program will cost Arlington's taxpayers this year? At least $1 million. Most of which will be paid in staff salaries to maintain and promote this program. The rest for printing, mailing, and tracking the vehicle decals. Also, the school system is getting more involved in a contest to choose the most attractive decal. This has become another vanity program that gets more absurd every year. Fairfax County ended its vehicle decal program several years ago and transferred the staff who were messing with decals to personal property tax enforcement. Two hundred fifty years ago Americans were outraged by the Stamp Act imposed by the British. O'Leary's vehicle tax decal is nothing more than a tax stamp. Time to end O'Leary's idiotic program before it becomes a yearly festival costing Arlington taxpayers who knows how many millions.

Yeah, if we don't put an end to this Donnellan's bloated P.R. Staff will make it into an annual circus.
I can easily see Reitsfuhrer Von Zimmerman's Minister of Propaganda, Diana Sun, making O'Leary's vanity promotion into a $2 million annual festival.
Also promoted by the Sun Gazette and the other newsies.
If we don't stop this now next year there will be a "Decal Day" celebration.
Small business owners with a few vehicles hate O'Leary's vehicle decals. More paperwork for us. Make it a vehicle surtax and save the taxpayers a few dollars.
If Chris Zimmerman were really pro-small business he would end the car tax decal program.
How much is the staff time expended by the school system on the contest costing us?
This is another anti-small business activity approved by the anti-small business Arlington Chamber of Commerce.
Can you top this? The anti-small business "Arlington" Sun Gazette, which is not located in Arlington, which does not pay a dime in taxes in Arlington, whose Editor is on the anti-small business Arlington Chamber's Executive Committee not only endorses Frank O'Leary's insipid tax stamp program but will endorse Frank O'Leary for re-election.
Where are the Arlington Republican Party and the Arlington County Taxpayers Association?
They're getting ready to attend O'Leary's St. Patrick's Day party.
Party? Did someone say party? Where's the party?
Google "Stamp Act" and read the Wiki article. Two hundred forty years ago America's motto was "We the People". Under the present regime it's "You are Sheeple".
Half the County's problems arise from County Staff coming up with new projects and programs to justify their existence.
Exactly how did we get to this ridiculous point? O'Leary's been spending his work days planning his annual St. Patrick Day party. This car tax decal program is going to become another festival, paid for by taxpayers.
Where is the Republican Party? Mr. Rubber Stamp Kubicki was just appointed to another go along with the program commission by the County Board.
Arlington Chamber of Commerce goes along with this. The Arlington Chamber is so anti small business it's frightening.
Same County Government where Von Zimmerman's Reitsminister of Transportation told EFC area residents to shop at Tysons when the Silver Line is open.
Arlington Republican Party is busy reciting the Pledge, singing the national anthem, and writing a non-denominational school prayer.
