Fisette, County Board, Zoned on Zoloft?

Hey Yupette,

Thanks for this blog.

I also believe that Chairman Jay Fisette and the Arlington County Board are Zoned on Zoloft. It would explain Fisette's spaciness and the County Board's being oblivious to anything that doesn't interest them.

They also don't have contact with citizens anymore, only with developers, real estate trusts, and the hundred or so people they appoint to the advisory groups who tell them what they want to hear.

I would say - yes. They want to not be bothered by the basics and whatever they are using helps them ignore basic longstanding problems like the homeless and crumbling infrastructure.

Hynes and Fisette are on Zoloft for sure, the others, some other prescription med or meds.

Explains why they fired Mike Brown - he intruded into their comfort zone.

My husband and I occasionally watch County Board meetings via the internet. They are taking some prescription med, and look to be taking a high dose of whatever it is. Zoloft? Maybe.

So many people in Arlington are taking one mood altering prescription med or another that anyone who is not is beginning to seem 'abnormal'.

Any time someone says "fiscal responsibility" at a County Board Meeting they act like space cadets on Planet Yuppie.

What is the difference between a Country Club Republican and a Tea Party Republican?

A Country Club Republican is a Geezer On Prozac. A Tea Party Republican is a Geezer Off Prozac.

Things could be worse...much worse. Imagine Bristol Palin as a contestant on American Idol.

They all still exhibit massive obsessive-compulsive behavior - e.g., live theater in every neighborhood, live entertainment on every block, etc.

They are also obsessed with gentrification and development for the sake of development.

No contact with citizens department - they will only take comments from citizens via e-mail at next month's budget meetings.
