Hello Yupette,
I am 55 years old and drive around Arlington in my Honda Civic on the usual errands. This past weekend I saw the worst behavior by pedestrians and bicyclists I have ever seen. Massive jaywalking, people on all kinds of bicycles running stop signs and traffic lights, runners running down the middle of streets, parents pushing strollers in the middle of the street. And most of these people were dressed in black or dark colors.
Who started the share the road insanity? Wasn't it Fisette? Will Jay Fisette visit the people who end up in the hospital because of his Yuppie recreation craziness?
Please, if you are going to walk, bicycle, run, or push a stroller down the middle of a street at least wear a bright-colored shirt or jacket.
Ken

I noticed all the dangerous behavior too...more urban village idiocy.
They can't pave my street, they can paint share the road markings on the street.
What can you expect after 30 years of Yuppieism?
You should see them on the W O & D trail, and the adjacent streets.
Moms wearing black clothing pushing a black 3-wheeled stroller down the middle of the street while talking on a cell phone have to be the worst.
No, the military jaywalking across George Mason Drive at dusk wearing camo clothing are the worst.
Can you beat this -- skateboarder at midnight dressed in black using the speed tables on your street as take off ramps?
As a matter of fact we DO own the streets. Racers rule. Drivers drool.
Ever see a pedestrian carrying a couple reusable shopping bags of groceries and walking home 1/2 mile from the supermarket? Am I the only one in Arlington?
There are safe riding posters on the bulletin boards at the elementary schools. But 8-year old children don't buy their clothes. Mom does.
Oh, it's raining hard and 48 degrees. Guess I'll get on my bicycle and ride to work.
What do expect from brain dead yuppies?
