Ballston BID Would Fund More Live Theater

Hi, Yupette,

In the event you wondered why the County Board is advertising for a business improvement district (special tax district) for Ballston, it's the primary means of getting another performing arts center constructed, this time in the Ballston-Clarendon area, most likely on the site of the present Arlington Funeral Home. Jay Fisette is looking to put at least two live theater groups in Ballston. The Ballston BID would generate at least $3 million yearly that Fisette and other County Board members could use for vanity projects.

Fisette has wanted live theater groups in Ballston for years.

Fisette will be picking the pockets of the non-profits headquartered in Ballston to fund his obsession to build a performing arts center in every Arlington neighborhood.

You have a really corrupt county government. I'm happy I don't live anywhere near Washington D.C. Also happy that last week we fired the pig who was supposedly representing us in Congress and helped you inside the beltway pigs steal our money for your hedonism

What do they have planned for East Falls Church?

County Board overbuilt Ballston, so now they need a BID to market Ballston? What's going on here? County taking over marketing for the REITs?

Metro will be too overcrowded for Ballston residents to ride to the Artisphere in Rosslyn so the County Board wants to build another Artisphere on the Arlington Funeral Home site.

Hey people, County Government does not care about you. Only cares about performing arts and sports.

The Real Estate Trusts are lined up at the County Board offices every day along with performing arts and sports groups.

EFC? Looks like everything but the kitchen sink destined for EFC. BID, TIF, live theater, mega sports, mega parking, mega gridlock.

Looks like 'anything goes' with respect to EFC redevelopment.
