Arlington's Kids: 'Team Sports Ate All the Time for My Homework'.

Hello, Yupette,

It's 7 P.M. What are your kids doing? Not watching television. Not hanging out at the mall. No, they're either playing team sports or have just come home from playing team sports. Homework? Not a priority in Arlington's public schools, except it's become a take-home test our kids are graded on every day. Wake up Parents! Arlington is becoming a vast recreation, entertainment, sports complex, thanks to the Yuptards who run the County via the County Board and School Board.

I would love to apply my size 11 shoe to schools superintendent Patrick Murray's posterior so hard he would land on the roof of a 'relocatable' on the grounds of a Fairfax County public school.

Kick out Walter 'Nada' Tejada and Mary 'Party's Over Here" Hynes next November. We deserve better, much better.

"Nada" Tejada - Nada por nosotros, todo por los ricos.

I'm paying more than $20,000 a year to send my daughter to a private school because of all the Arlington school system's deficiencies. Am I angry? You bet.

Many parents don't care. Lots of kids in S. Arlington aren't going on to college.

My child spends an hour on after-school related activities. Enough. It's not only homework, where is the family time?

What we deserve for hiring a superintendent who majored in PE in college.

Our children are being "prepared" to manage gift shops where 100% of the items sold are made in China.

Anyone in Arlington besides the Greens talking about anything on a level above K-12?

Homework has been dumbed down because of team sports.

You guys are so privileged--if you think public schools here are bad, try Texas or Louisiana. Tex

In Texas and Louisiana if you are not a high school football booster you are considered weird.

Three on the County Board and three on the School Board are "intellectually challenged".

The others have obsessive-compulsive disorders involving live theater, streetcars, gay and lesbian issues, and synthetic turf.

My family is so excited about Bristol Palin being re-selected every week to continue to appear on Dancing With The Stars that we do the kids' homework for then so we can all watch.

County Board has a obsessive-compulsive disorder about live entertainment.

Anyone seen a family sitcom or reality show where kids do homework, people read books, and the family isn't dysfunctional?

Joan 22207 said...

What does Bristol Palin have in common with the County Board? Every week she gets re-selected by the sheeple, just as they do every four years.

We just re-selected Bristol !!! Yuppieee !!!

I would like a thread about the local media suppressing news about serious future school overcrowding until after the elections.

Thanks, AY Blog, for predicting that the school system will have 200 trailer classrooms in a few years. I did not vote for Zimmerman or Baird. The local media are propaganda machines for local government.
