Hello Yupette,
It was refreshing to see so many adults at yesterday's County Board meeting telling the Arlington Yuppie Board to Grow Up.
Also, despite serious harassment from Arlington Yuppiecrats, it appears the change-the-government petition already has enough signatures for a referendum to be on the ballot.

Anyone else hear what Nanny Carrie (Nanny Nancy's good bud on the Planning Commission) had to say to the CB. What a hoot.
Only citizens the County Board listened to were the H.B. Woodlawn group who want $1 million for a lighted all weather frisbee field.
Carrie Johnson concerned about neighborhoods? Why did she rubber stamp all those in-fill site plans when she was on the Planning Commission?
These so-called "community leaders" are like Bill Clinton. Going on about why we have to do this or that. But didn't do anything when they were in the position to actually accomplish something.
We will have a change of government referendum because the County Board doesn't listen, unless the subject is entertainment, recreation, or a pet project or pet special interest group.
Our new County Manager says almost nothing during meetings. So why have a County Manager?
Jay Fisette is going around frightening his pet special interests into believing they will lose their special treatment and special programs if the change of government referendum passes.
Scott McCaffrey announced he's taking an 11 week break from covering local politics, until after Labor Day. Which means he'll be doing the usual, printing press releases from County Government as news, featuring incumbents who are up for re-election, ignoring non-incumbent candidates for public office, and trashing 'activists'.
Latest stunt from the County Board was making homeowners clear snow from public infrastructure while giving away more tax dollars to non-profits for entertainment and recreation.
McCaffrey has already de facto endorsed Zimmerman by featuring Zimmerman at every opportunity and ignoring Mark Kelly and Kevin Chisholm.
Besides "Nanny Carrie" two residents from Jay Fisette's neighborhood complained about quality-of-life issues at the County Board meeting Saturday.
Fact is, Jay is destroying his own neighborhood with cut-through traffic from adjacent development that he approves.
Sun Gazette's parent corporation (people in Leesburg and Dallas who pull Scotty's strings) is run by Neo-Cons who are only interested in ad revenue.
Doesn't it tell you something about the direction Arlington is headed when 3 people from Fisette's upscale neighborhood complain about quality of life issues at a County Board meeting?
After stating that he was going to take a break from politics until after Labor Day Scotty is back to the same old same old, featuring incumbents while ignoring their challengers. And yes, he has de facto endorsed Zimmerman.
Interesting to read about the Sun Gazette "de facto" endorsing Zimmerman given that they've endorsed Mark Kelly, and write "It’s an every-four-years ritual: We advise the community not to re-elect Chris Zimmerman, and the community ignores the advice, returning Zimmerman for another four-year term." So y'all seem to be a little off the mark in your assessment of the Sun Gazette's approach to Zimmerman.
What does the Sun Gazette's endorsemetn matter - Zimmerman is featured every week. Kelly has been almost totally ignored.
