'Deal' May Be Imminent for I-395 HOT Lanes

Hello, Yupette,

According to the constituent newsletter I received today from Delegate David Englin the State of Virginia would be willing to drop plans for VDOT's Shirlington Rotary if the State moves forward with the HOT Lanes project. Delegate Englin's web site is www.davidenglin.org

Yes and what about the tens of thousands of additional vehicles that will descend on Arlington via HOT Lanes?

So what will that do for the thousands who work in Shirlington and want to commute to PW, Spotsylvania, Culpeper, etc. via HOT lanes?

The media love auto dealers and sprawl real estate developments. Don't expect any opposition from them.

Almost all local papers are owned by large corporations.

I don't and haven't empowered any person, group, or organization to deluge me and my community with massive traffic, noise, and air pollution from HOT Lanes.

Englin runs around the General Assembly ranting about this group's or that group's "inalienable rights". Well how about my quality of life in his District which is starting to really suck?

Englin isn't going to say or do anything to jeopardize the financial interests of the major auto dealers in his district.
