County Treasurer's Staff Scamming Seniors to Pre-Pay Taxes So County Will End Fiscal Year 2009 in the Black?
According to several angry senior citizens, Arlington County Treasurer's staff has been telephoning Arlington senior citizens and scamming them into paying their taxes long before the due date. According to several insiders at 2100 Clarendon Blvd., the County is having a "serious problem" ending the 2009 fiscal year in the black.

I'm a retired senior citizen. Several weeks ago a woman from the County Treasurer's office called me and told me the real estate taxes on my home were due and I had to pay immediately or else I would have to pay a penalty and maybe face foreclosure. But I had just paid my taxes in June. I told her she was mistaken and hung up.
How many other senior citizens in Arlington received the same type of phone call?

Residential real estate taxes in Arlington County are due on June 15th and October 5th.
You ARE NOT required to pay your residential real estate taxes in advance of June 15th and October 5th.

Frank O'Leary is racist slime and the worst kind of machine pol. He sleeps in his office and about 1/2 of the people who work for O'Leary are no-show County employees who are into 9-5 political activities and their own on the job retirement agenda
What's this scamming of senior citizens all about? The County Board made too many financial commitments and panicked about ending FY 2009 in the red.
O'Leary is such a slime machine pol that he even has John 'Jane Barfcroft' Antonelli and Snotty McCaffrey buffaloed.
What's ging on here? Is O'Leary collecting taxes for FY 2010 that will be spent in FY 2009?
Who knows? They are doing a Madoff thing right now.
If you think you are being scammed by ANYONE, you can call the Arlington Commonwealth's Attorney's Office at 703-228-4410 and ask to speak to the Assistant Commonweath's Attorney for Senior Fraud and Abuse.
Forget Scott McCaffrey. All he's interested in right now is electing gay / lesbian and gay / lesbian - friendly candidates to political office.
Wonder why Ron Carlee is leaving county government to "seek a better employment opportunity"?
BTW, Frank O'Leary and Dick Trodden are good buds from way back at ACDC.
McCaffrey and the Sun Gazette are losers. But so are the Post and other local newspapers.
The media will print any PR from a governmental agencey w.o. fact checking. McCaffrey only writes features aka informercials about his pet people and projects, e.g., a live theater in every neighborhood.
Treasurer's staff also call Arlington seniors and ask them to pre-pay fees that aren't due for months.
Arlington Dems put up with Jim Mayer's behavior for years and will put up with Frank O'Leary's behavior no matter what he says and does, especially since O'Leary's scamming the seniors will allow the County to end FY 09 a couple million dollars in the black.
IMPORTANT:
If you are have an "automatic" deduction from a savings or checking account to the County Treasurer's account you should IMMEDIATELY check your bank statement to determine how far in advance of June 15th and October 5th Frank O'Leary is stealing your money to invest your money in the County's interest-bearing accounts.
O'Leary's two biggest supporters are John Antonelli and Scott McCaffrey.
Isn't John Antonelli an FBI Agent? Does the FBI know what Mr. Antonelli has been doing in Arlington?
Antonelli is writing Jane Barcroft III when he isn't watching co-ed firehouse porn and fapping his 2 inch fire hose.
