Time for Jeff Bezos to Sell the Post

Hi, Yupette,

I buy and read the Washington Post most days. I've also been following the antics of Jeff Bezos and Amazon via the Internet.

The Post is NOT owned by Amazon. Jeff Bezos owns the Post. It's obvious that the Post functions as a public relations facilitator for Jeff Bezos and Amazon. Amazon executives are concerned about the company getting nailed by the Feds for anti-trust, though that's discounted by Jeff Bezos in his recent letter to Amazon shareholders. But it's not going to happen if the Post has an extensive amount of unrevealed and very embarrassing information about the Trump Administration. Remember Richard Nixon, Watergate, and the Post?

The Post is only printing what Jeff Bezos wants us to know about Jeff Bezos and Amazon. While the Post is doing to the Trump Administration what it did to the Nixon Administration almost 50 years ago. Is that Journalism?

Unfortunately, the Post influences the rest of the Region's media. If the Post is bad Journalism the rest of the media are worse....mostly publishing scare stories and acting as chamber of commerce boosters, when they're not facilitating one-party government that's ubiquitous inside the DC beltway.

So if we want to see the Region's media return to Journalism it's time for Jeff Bezos to sell the Post to a news organization that's capable of Journalism. Is it too much to ask that the Post's next owner or owners be focused on the future and not engaged in constant partisan warfare?

Post spends way too much time waging partisan warfare. Yes. Sell the Post and the next owner should refocus the paper on journalism.

Worst by far are the local and national television news programs. Evening news is at least 80% 'scare stories'.

Followed by hours of violent prime-time 'entertainment'.

Pathetic Post had another feature about Watergate today (April 16th) a 91 year old Watergate grand juror from 45 years ago featured in today's Metro Section. Rest of the paper was the usual blather by Progressive Elitists.

Why doesn't the Post have a local part-time stringer get secretly hired by Amazon and work in an Amazon fufillment center for a couple months while dodging "autonomous workers"?

Worst of all news media is the ABC Nightly News with David Muir ;~}

Progressive Elitists who own and operate the Post don't bother to tell anyone the following: U.S. population is about 335 million, about 100 million are at or below poverty level, the U.S. population is increasing by close to 3 million / year, more than 1 million immigrants become permanent U.S. residents every year, about 300,000 immigrants illegally cross a U.S. border every year and are never deported, and about 600,000 visa holders overstay their visas every year. After 18 years of being America's front-line protection against terrorism DHS can't keep track visa holders who overstay their visas.

Worst locally are ArlNow and Inside Nova news blogs. Streets and sidewalks may be crumbling and trees on public lands may be falling onto roads and vehicles but local news blogs can be counted on to support the political status quo, year after year.

If Jeff Bezos owns the Post and he's so concerned about so-called Progressive values, why do so many of his Fufillment Center employees live paycheck-to paycheck?

Arlington's and Virginia's State and Local Pols have yet to realize they're dealing with Corporate Pirates. Advice to anyone over 50 is GTFO of inside-the-VA-beltway and move / retire to a City or County that has a) low taxes on Seniors, b) good healthcare for Seniors, and c) a climate that's bearable all year long, meaning not -10 degrees in January and +90 degrees in July.

Try Roanoke. Affordable for Seniors and healthcare is improving with a new medical school / teaching hospital.
