Hey Yupette,
Good news for Westover and the region's cat lovers. Stray Cat Cafe' will re-open this week. Owners foiled New Urbanist/Smart Growth anti-small business County Government by doing a basic makeover that did not require permits from DES for heavy excavation, plumbing, electrical and other upgrades. New Urbanist Cult members who control County Government deliberately delay and deny permit applications so small businesses are discouraged from making upgrades, in County Government's quest to completely "Clarendon" Arlington County.
So look for a new bar and renovated tables and a new kitchen at the Stray Cat.
Also a revamped menu.
See you there later this week.

Speaking of cats, Nova Cat Clinic will finally relocate in March after years of getting the run-around by the Urban Village Idiots who control DES.
Reality Check: Arlington Chamber of Commerce, Arlington Economic Development, DES, local media, DESPISE small business, especially locally-owned small business.
Carol Mitten to Victor Hoskins: "How did you let that happen?"
Victor Hoskins to Carol Mitten: "We couldn't put their construction permits on indefinite hold because they weren't doing any heavy-duty renovations".
FIRE all of them f****** Smart Growth skanks, starting with Jay Fisette.
Agree. Dump The Dems. Starting with Fisette.
Ask Nova Cat Clinic about getting the run-around from DES. You would think County Government would want a state-of-the-art Cat Hospital in the County. But that's not how the Smart Growth Cult operates.
Heard from a Clarendon restaurant owner this week: "Clarendon isn't doing well. Business is down compared to a year ago."
Talk to Rob Krupicka, Duck Donuts Owner, about it.
Why would any small business person want to start a small business that provides essential products and services to Arlington residents? Forget it.
Alexandria City Govrenment is helping fund major improvements to an emergency veterinary clinic on Duke Street.
Smart Growth sucks, has always sucked, and will always suck.
Why would anyone want to start a small business in Arlington County?
New Urbanism is a Cult. That's Why.
Correction. It's the Arlington Chamber of Galas and Golf.
Stray Cat Staff say the Stray Cat will re-open on December 29th.
Meanwhile, $ara$ota $cott McCaffrey will be covering the "South of the Border - A New Paradigm for Vibrant Smart Growth Redevelopment" Conference in Dillon, South Carolina, and $leazy $cott Brodbeck will be covering the demise of another popular vibrant restaurant in vibrant Clarendon.
Brodbeck will more likely be printing a "Homeless Man Steals Food from a Supermarket" police report between informercials for tear-down McMansions.
I visited the Stray Cat yesterday. More salads. Pasta om the menu. More burgers on the menu. The photos of cats have been removed. New oil paintings of cats installed.
A number of menu items the Stray Cat and Lost Dog shared have been eliminated at the Stray Cat. If you want a pizza you still have to order it at the Lost Dog.
Sehkraft is closing, victim of dysfunctional County Government which which can't approve a new restaurant in a new building in less than 2 years.
