This blog has often criticized the 'revolving door' between Jay Fisette's former domestic partner (and now legally-married spouse) Robert Rosen's consulting firm - Healthy Companies International - and County Board Chairman Jay Fisette's office.
Now that Rob and Jay are legally married, A.Y. was anticipating that Jay and Rob would fully disclose the extent of the pay-to-play activities between Rob's office, at 2101 Wilson Boulevard, and Jay's County Board office, just across the street, at 2100 Clarendon Boulevard. Rob Rosen and Healthy Companies International represent some of the worst fossil fuel polluters in the world, ranging from Boeing to the anti-EPA National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA). (In the event you wondered why Arlington is lagging so badly when it comes to installing on-site renewable energy).
According to County Staff, dispensation from reporting their pay-to-pay activities was granted to Rob and Jay, on the grounds that Rob and Jay aren't legally married in Virginia, by Arlington Commonwealth's Attorney Theo Stamos. BTW, appears that Theo Stamos and her spouse and Rob and Jay are tied for first place as the wealthiest elected officials in Arlington, if not the Commonwealth.

Same old same old is going to occur unless and until there is substantive ethics reform in Richmond.
Isn't it obvious? County Board is taking full advantage of the current lax ethics laws in Virginia before the General Assembly passes ethics reform in a few weeks.

So, will companies and organizations wanting to do business with Arlington County also have to have their passports stamped punched at Smart Growth America after Zimmerman leaves the County Board?
Virginia's media are also corrupt. The McDonnells and their predecessors would never have pulled their pay-to-play antics if the media hadn't looked the other way. The McDonnells got themselves in trouble because they were too greedy even for Virginia.
No big secret, Arlington County Government is corrupt, including the police department, sheriff's department, court system, and commonwealth attorney's office.

Is Healthy Companies International for real? Or is it a pay-to-play required for CEOs to get access to Jay?
I concur that there will be no meaningful ethics reform in Virginia in this session of the General Assembly. Main reason is the General Assembly meets, at most, two months a year and the rest of the time the pols we elect make their living from wheeling and dealing.
This has been going on in Virginia since about 1607.
