When can we please have that awesome Las Vegas ACE bus running on Columbia Pike?

We have two choices. We and our children and grandchildren can DIE for the Zimmerman, Garvey, Fisette, Tejada, Hynes streetcar system or LIVE with Bus Rapid Transit on the Pike. That's why I'm voting for Matt Wavro on Tuesday.

I am voting for Audrey Clement for County Board. The Pike Streetcar is an expensive and dangerous transportation disaster about to be visited on the Pike. It's all about greedy out-of-state developers and their non-resident facilitators at 2100 Clarendon Blvd on the payroll and paid by Arlington taxpayers. Also facilitated by the local newspapers and news blogs who only care about how much advertising revenue they will gain from dumb growth

In fact, at the October 23rd County Board meeting Libby Garvey seconded Chris Zimmrman's motion to approve $4.5 million for Pike Streetcar design and engineering.

Don't forget the local news blogsters - $cott Brodbeck, $cott McCaffrey, Ja$on $pencer - all well paid-off PR flacks and County Board facilitators.

You won't ever see that great photo of the Vegas Ace bus posted on their blogs, per Boss Zimmerman's decree.

Climate of fear in Arlington? Seen any discussion of Peter Rousselot's excellent paper panning Zimmerman's streetcar by the local media? How about a discussion by A.Y. after the elections?

Climate of fear? Seen any discussion of the prostitution and drug dealing endemic in 'smart growth' redevelopment?

What is most pathetic - that anyone believes a streetcar system on top of massive redevelopment will create anything but a mess in the Pike corridor.

Douglas Park residents been brainwashed by Zimmy and Zimmy's enablers and facilitators. Like those of us in Barcroft, you are going to get screwed big time by Pike corridor redevelopment. Just like Columbia Heights. Just like Columbia Heights West.

Douglas Park? Zimmy and Family call the cops when they see a couple of Latino kids kicking a soccer ball in Douglas Park.

Zimmy's gonna be outta of here in 5 years. What do he and the non-residents who are urbanizing Arlington care about our future?

Who do you think all the older cities (latest is Roanoke) are being gentrified for? The on-the-job-retiree 'planners' at 2100 Clarendon Blvd. who will soon retire. Need that state-of-the-art healthcare that comes with having a medical school and teaching hospital 10 minutes from your home.

Like Zimmy, they are all greedy, cheap, and sleazy. Love that low cost retirement housing, low taxes, and excellent medical care a mile from your home, far, far, from the redevelopment mess you inflicted on your formerly-affordable neighborhood in Arlington.

Right on, Cindy! Especially for Howell, anybody but Garvey, and "No" for Fisette's Aquatics Center (no more Artisphere and trolley boondoggles - spend our tax money on fixing roads and infrastructure that are necessary for ALL Arlingtonians regardless of political persuasion)!

Seen on another blog: "A Version of the Status Quo is not a Vision".

Safety first...streetcars and streetcar tracks are inherently dangerous. Why are we allowing supposedly responsible people to inflict them on us?

Thanks to the corrupt local media (including news blogs) for boosting all incumbents and ignoring and censoring critical news and information about the Zimmerman Regime.

At least it will be harder for them from now on to condemn private property for their vanity projects.
