Hey Yupette,
It's Christmas in October this Saturday, October 23rd, at the County Board meeting. Neighborhood Conservation funds get parceled out for neighborhood wants. When does my street get repaving and energy efficient lights that light the street get installed?

We checked with your Democratic Precinct Leader and you have to deliver at least 70% for Chris and Sally if you want your street repaved.
The guys in black suits from the REITs and special interests have been visiting the CB and CM offices for the past two weeks. So you know there is gonna be some serious corporate welfare handed out.
Hey people, another hefty real estate tax increase on the way - looks like about 6 or 7 percent.
To get NC funding for projects you need to have your Civic Association officers contribute to Chris Zimmerman's re-election campaign, elect the Democratic precinct captain as association president and then get your association president to chair the 2010 Arlington Democratic campaign for the ACDC.
Just look at all the new projects proceeding over in Arlington Heights. Why there are new sidewalks, streetlights, steetscapes and gutters galore and more on the way!
They're spending a huge amount for stuff like signs when the street lighting throughout the County is horrible.
How about a thread regarding the Planetarium fiasco? If ever there were a reason why Sally Baird and Libby Garvey should be off the School Board the Planetarium fiasco is it.
Want to know why all this $#!+ goes on and on and on? Because the media keep them in power. Why? Because supporting the status quo provides big profits to the media's corporate owners.
How about WAMU? Supposed to be a non-profit "Public Radio" station. Supposed to serve the public interest. Only thing it serves is the interests of the Elite who want to re-segregate inside-the-beltway through gentrification.
Speaking of Elite, how about the County's gift to the Washington Golf and Country Club members who want a dedicated traffic light to protect them as they stagger from the 19th hole to the parking lot across the street?
Barbara Favola, who's Marymount University's Lobbyist in Chief, stripped repaving funds from South Arlington so she could reward the neighborhoods that rolled over and played dead when it came to the outrageous Marymount expansion.
We have complained repeatedly about street lighting and street repaving in Fairlington. No response whatsoever from the County. Civic Association is a bunch of Zimmerman's ward heelers.
