Zimmerman's Clarendonification of EFC to Start in October
Having largely attained its objectives for Clarendonifying Crystal City, the Zimmerman-dominated County Board is moving on to Clarendonifying East Falls Church. Because the County Board demonstrated its total insensitivity to the upscale neighborhoods near Crystal City regarding massive redevelopment it is unlikely that the County Board will listen at all to the middle class families who live in single family homes around the EFC Metro station.

Did you notice that EFC community leader Mike Nardozimmy attended last night's County Board meeting to collect his "reward" for pushing Zimmerman's EFC Clarendonification scam?
Community Leader? You mean Ward Heeler, don't you?
It's Zimmification. Worse that Clarendonification. Because you get gridlock along with everything else that makes your former quiet community into a zoo.
A Zoo? Did someone mention Clarendon Day?
Expansive cavernous structures that blot out the sun; they're building bat zoos.
County Manager states he wants to "Shirlington" EFC. Report is on the arlingtonva website.
Shirlington was redeveloped with NO open space and HUGE parking garages which are causing major traffic problems in adjacent communities.
As the result of years of mega-development in Shirlington there are 15 affordable apartments in Shirlington.
Never mind what Zimmerman's "facilitators" from the Fairlington civic association say - he's persona non grata with my neighborhood in South Fairlington, which is becoming an annex to Shirlington Village.
Arlington Planning Commissioner and former Fairlington Citizens Association President Nanny Nancy Hunt is also NOT WELCOME in South Fairlington.

If Chris Zimmerman and his Zombies controlled the banks of the Potomac River they'd cowtow to developers who would build 20 story condo towers, calling the concrete jungle smart, liveable and walkable. And Zimmie's cabal would meet 20 times to prove that is what the community wants. Thank God the Federal Government had the prescience to retain title to riverfront land so it will never be subjected to Zimmerman's charades.
Zimmerman is increasingly irrational. He wants to urbanize every square foot of Arlington County and put more pedestrians, bicycles, and motor vehicles on Arlington's already-congested streets and roads and add shared street light rail to increase the number of accidents and traffic congestion.

If I see Nanny Hunt in my Fairlington neighborhood looking for dirt to dish I will do what she does when she sees people she's doesn't like - call the police and report her as a "suspicious person".
The site plans for Shirlington redevelopment designated school playgrounds and other public infrastructure in Fairlington as "open space" for Shirlington Village.
