Did you expect McCaffrey was NOT going to attack PO'd residents who don't conform to Arlington Chamber of Commerce, General Electric, and Arlington County Government policies, programs, and PR?

Where do you think McCaffrey gets his 'news'? Not from attending meetings and events but from PR handouts from the aforementioned entities.

Various subsidiaries of GE provide financial services and loans to Harley dealerships nationwide.

GE's motto has become the Sun Gazette's motto - Imagination at Work.

Sun Gazette has a high school Editor. If an event doesn't concern cheerleaders and football players it gets a 50 word press release. Someone criticizes a football player or cheerleader he / she gets trashed by the newspaper. In return the Editor gets to party with the cheerleaders and football players.

The people who produce the press releases also did the newspaper thing in high school.

Sun Gazette fits right in with Arlington Government - this County is like a big suburban high school where the students make the rules and hire an adult (the County Manager) to oversee the school's upkeep and ensure the social events are successful and there are more of them every year.

Yeah, McCaffrey supports the present form of county government because if it changed adults would start running the high school.

Sun Gazette is controlled by American Community Newspapers's East Coast Group Headquarters in Leesburg VA.

Sun Gazette is also controlled by the Arlington Chamber of Commerce.

Hey, Yupette, American Community Newspapers is going after you for telling the truth about ACN's sleazy behavior towards employees, small business, and the community.

Did you expect GE was going to sit silent while A.Y. exposed the huge financial relationship between itself and Harley-Davidson which makes Rolling Thunder a bigger and noisier zoo every year?

General Electric was American Community Newspapers's lead secured creditor in Federal Bankruptcy Court last year. GE and the other secured creditors spent months in court trying not to pay the claims of the unsecured creditors (the people who cleaned the Sun Gazette's offices, for example). The Federal bankruptcy judge finally threw GE and the other secured creditors out of court, telling them in effect to grow up.

McCaffrey would do and say anything to stay on th Executive Committee (which meets in secret) of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce.

Scott McCaffrey is a laundry list of conflicts of interest and personal biases. We deserve much better local journalism.

GE and the other ACN secured creditors rejected suggestions for a complete makeover of the Sun Gazette (i.e., to appear more like the Williamsport Sun Gazette, sungazette.com) and instead opted to fire long time back office employees who were doing the best they could to market the paper.

The number of large motorcycles in the USA has approximately doubled over the past 5 years. Another huge "profit center" for General Electric.

GE Capital Solutions is a major source of loans and financial services for Harley franchised dealers.

There was some discussion about Rolling Thunder at a recent Chamber of Commerce Board meeting because of complaints made to Chamber Board members.
