Time to Means Test the Special Interests

Hi Yupette,

I was outraged to see that neighborhoods are having to beg for funding and engage in neighborhood fund raising to maintain neighborhood public infrastructure. The County Board's fat cat special interests are lining up for their annual welfare-for-the wealthy taxpayer subsidies. First in line is the $$$ignature Theater.

Time to means test every organization that seeks a subsidy from the County. Welfare for the wealthy sucks.

Next in line are the wealthy elitists from the Thomas Jefferson School for Science and Technology. How many alumni from this school are Ivy League graduates? A thousand? Two thousand? Three thousand?

Dump Zimmerman for being totally incompetent. Wash Post should investigate Fi$$ette's and his domestic partner's numerous conflicts of interest and make him resign.

Investigate Fisette and the wealthy pool clubbers. You will finds some very interesting stuff.

Yes, it is sad and pathetic that neighborhoods have to contribute to maintain public infrastructure while wealthy special interests get big taxpayer handouts to produce entertainment.

Why aren't the media criticizing TJ for failure to get itself away from public funding as other prestigious schools have done - University of Virginia is one example?

School Board decided to cut staff and programs at Wakefield while fully funding TJ.

Is it possible to sue the Arlington school system under the Civil Rights Act for discrimination?

LOL, the civil rights attorneys at the Justice Department send their kids to TJ.

It's not just TJ. Why more expensive special programs in the school system when the school population is expected to grow by 5,000 over the next few years?
