This County wastes and spends foolishly at least $100 million a year.
Want to save a bundle? STOP allowing County employees who are not County residents to illegally send their kids to Arlington schools !!
The local media support the County Board. If the media did not support the County Board the extravagant spending for pet projects would stop.
BTW, have you noticed how much spyware and how many tracking cookies the Sun-Gazette web site tries to put on your PC when you visit sungazette dot net?
The Arlington County Board is THE WORST. Machine Pols who only give a $#!+ about their pet interests and pet people.
Arlington Police were REALLY pissed last night. Why shouldn't they be? County Board skims their healthcare and pension money and uses it to fund pet projects.
If it doesn't involve throwing, kicking, catching, or hitting a ball the County Board doesn't want to fund it.
Notice Arlington Republicans are going along with the Democrats on the budget?
The County Board wants to raise the residential tax rate by 3 cents. The Repubs want to raise the tax rate rate by 1.87 cents. LOL. Can you say "bipartisan tax-and-spend on entertainment and recreation priorities"?
When is my street going to be repaved? It's full of patches over potholes.
See how they're ripping off the cops and firefighters pension system and healthcare system to fund live theater?
They're Reagan Yuppies, that's why.
It's a Ponzi scheme, take from police, fire fighters and EMS, pensions and give to new live theater groups.
My street needed repaving 5 years ago. The street lighting is so bad that the County should disconnect the lights and let the streets be dark and save the cost of electricity.

Arlington is Yuppie. Yuppies are Arlington. Zimmerman, Favola, and Fisette are Reagan Yuppies. They arrived in Arlington during the early 80's. They only know how to be Yuppies. We are stuck with them until they either retire or croak. Again, they only know how to act like Yuppies. That is where all the s*** is coming from.
How much is wasted on the County's PR Machine? I heard about $3 million this year.
Anyone know how many 52 inch HDTVs the county bought for its full-length propaganda videos at 2100 Clarendon Blvd.? There are 4 or 5 in the lobby and others scattered around the building.

As someone posted a long time ago on this blog, they are going to do what their parents did in the Rust Belt, spend extravagantly, and then retire to a gated community in NC, SC, etc.
