2009 Presidential Inauguration "Winter Woodstock" in Arlington?

Except in the Summer of '69 there weren't any winter ice storms that caused 2-week power outages.

One day is OK. Two weeks of people partying, no way.

Doesn't matter Yupette, County Government is only intyerested in sales tax $$$$ to fund more pet projects.

What happens if it snows a foot on Jan 15th? I guess we will all be off work for 2 weeks. LOL.

If it snows Skip and Muffy will drive the SUV or 4X4 pickup here instead of the minivan. Yuppie.

Guess what? January 20th is also a work day for about 70% of the local workforce.

Agreed. We will have to endure the traffic. I think we are fortunate that we won't also have 48,000 Harley owners descending on Washington.

My brother and his family are visiting my home for Inauguration. I'm visiting his home in SC. He and his family are excited about visiting Washington. Let's be glad we have a democracy that allows for a peaceful change in government. Traffic wouldn't be a problem if we had good transportation planning 20 years ago.

Yupette, the Post today stated that the Inauguration is going to be a mess and suggested that attendees should be willing to walk 3 miles to the Mall.

Thank you County Board for making Clarendon Arlington's Party Zone. It's easy to see how jerks like Barbara Favola keep being re-elected. They give big favors to special interests like restaurant owners and developers who want to cram even more bars and restaurants into Clarendon.

Does Barbara Favola even live in the neighborhood? I am inured to Clarendon being a winter equivalent of Daytona Beach during Spring Break. The County Board only wants more sales tax revenue to fund arts and recreation pet projects.

The County Board is so hungry for tax revenue to fund its giveaways to special interests in return for votes that I am not surprised that the ugly used car lots in Clarendon look even uglier every year.

When will Clarendon Blvd. and Wilson Blvd. be repaved? Once there's a dog park on every block and a live theater in every neighborhood. Oh, and a major County-sponsored recreation or cultural event every weekend.

Yuppie Clarendon is overflowing with drugs, drugs, drugs. The Arlington Police Department could care less, less, less. Drug detectives spend their time breaking into Green activists' homes and turning on lights and opening closet doors to "send the Greens a message."

2009 Inauguration a Winter Woodstock in Arlington? The wine will flow like water and the drugs will flow like wine. Bet there are at least 100 OD'd on alcohol and drugs between January 19-21.

What does the County Board care? They're only concerned about sales tax revenue.
