Arlington Yupublicrats Begin Massive Pike Gentrification "Planning"

The Arlington County Board of Recreation, Entertainment, and Gentrification "planning" charade has begun for the total gentrification of the Pike and construction of Zimmerman's trolley folly. See arlingtonva.us

can you cut and paste the exact link? I started at the Arlington home page but it hard to know what page to look for there to see what you mean

Appears the County has pulled the detailed CPHD Forums on-line information about the Columbia Pike Land Use and Information Study, based upon the County Board's decree on September 16th. Planning Staffer who is in charge is Jennifer Smith at 703-228-3525, if someone wants to do a FOIA.

It was in the CHPD Forum, can't find it now.

Same old same old. Same old county staff and ward heelers appointed to the plenary committee and working group who will rubber stamp Zimmerman's megadevelopment scheme and idiotic trolley.

Did the CB appoint any Latinos and Latinas at all to the various advisoty boards, commissions, and committees?

Arlington is run by a bi-partisan group of racists and elitists. They want the poor, middle class, and minorities OUT.

Noticed the Yupublicrats are complaining in the Sun-Gazette that 'affordable housing' is driving them out of Arlington? Rather than the bipartisan waste, mismanagement, and extravagant spending by County Government.

Why don't you ask Walter Tejada why Latinos and Latinas aren't appointed to advisory commissions, boards, and committees in Arlington. The Democrats all supported Obama, right?

The Columbia Pike Revitalization si a necessary effort to brighten the run down slum like area. Sure some people will have to move but they would have to move anyway and maybe they can stay in the community

Affordable Housing? Only affordable if you earn over $40,000 / yr. Costs the taxpayers nothing because developers get bonus density for including affordable units. Now the slime ball neo-con YuPalin trash are going after the middle class by posting attacks on "affordable" housing in the various local blogs. Written in their comfy federal office buildings during "work hours". The local media (Post, Sun-Gazette, News-Press) support attacks on the middle class and middle class housing because they derive so much advertising revenue from expensive housing. Mean people suck and Arlington is governed and controlled by mean people.

Run down slum like area? So was Old Town Alexandria 40 years ago. Whether the buildings are preserved and renovated or torn down the Elitist Republicrat Controllers want only one thing - the middle class gentrified out.

Even Yupigs like Zimmerman admit they could not afford to buy a single family home in Arlington if they were just out of college working for a DC lobbying group.

Not my fault that the urban village idiots who run Arlington invited greedy developers into this county and then didn't demand energy efficient middle class housing be constructed and renovated. Now the Republicrat Elite wants the middle class out. Time for THEM to move out to Middleburg to live with their developer buddies (who they spend 70% of their 'work' time pandering to), starting with Scott McCaffrey.

Where do you think Scott and Nanny Nancy spend their weekends, vacations, holidays, etc?

Yupette, can we have a thread about the Yup who has gone from bad to worst - Walter Tejada?

Why are so manyt people on this board so focused on Scott McCaffery? I read the Sun paper and think he is sort of a dork, true but a lot of people I talk to are not even aware of the paper. they read the Post. I do not think there is a big influence from the local paper on social involvement.

I would like to know what people think can de done to get regular people to make more green decisions in their lives, it cant be about just a few loudmouths and their influence.

Why are people so focused on Scott McCaffrey? He's a dork and I don't read his crummy paper. I read the Post. Anyway, what can ordinary Arlingtonians do about making Arlington Green? And I don't mean having "green" buildings from putting bicycle racks in the basement.

Go to this Saturday's County Board meeting and sign up to speak during public comments, starts at 8:30 AM, and ask the Yuppicrats for Obama on the County Board why everything EXCEPT renewable energy - meaning solar water heating and photovoltaic panels on the roofs of public buildings - gets funded in Arlington.

McCaffrey has a lot of undeserved credibility...he has major conflicts of interest and should not be a journalist but a PR director for some corporation. Like Nanny Nancy he always knows what's 'best' for everyone. He is always telling others what to do but his newspaper never contributes anything to anyone. Worst thing about Scott is that he prints press releases as news and is perpetually in the debt of organizations (like Arlington County Government) that produce the press releases.

At the Civic Federation meeting last night an affordable housing activist went after Scott for only printing ads for expensive homes in the S-G and Scott responded: "I have a lot more money than you do."

I wonder if Scott is the listing agent for any of the expensive homes.

Ha Ha...the parent company of the Sun-Gazette, American Community Newspapers, was just delisted from the American Stock Exchange where its stock was last quoted at 3 cents a share!

No wonder Scott became a Realtor.

No wonder Scott depends on press releases written by Arlington County employees at taxpayers' expense.

LOL. Scott McCaffrey is another bull$#!+ "journalist" who gets to tell us how to live our lives, calls progressives names, and endorses corrupt fellow Republicans. And the urban village idiots think he's wonderful.

I broke open my piggy bank and there was $83.32. If buy ACN stock with that do I become a big time media mogul?

Anonymous said...

Maybe Antonelli and his gal pal will buy American Community Newspapers with the royalties from their next slimey Jane Barcroft novel.

Anonymous said...

Yupette, what are the titles of these mystery novels. I think I want to read them to see what all the fuss is about.

Anonymous said...

The Pike Rehabilitation is only a plan by Chris Zimmerman to raise his own home value so he can sell out and move away while the rest of us are stuck with his crap.

Anonymous said...

Too many innocent people, spouses and children, were hurt by the slander in the novels. The novels are available in the public library. Ask the co-authors for more information.

See the CPHD Forums page at arlingtonva.us There is more info about the massive scope of the Pike redevelopment. Anyone know when Zimmerman's ward heelers are going to be appointed to the rubberstamp committees?
