I do not know about Indy Greens like Fisher and Gail Parker. The words Christian Conservative, values conservative show up too many times on IG web sites. that is code for people who wish people like me did not exist.

The Independent Green Party and Green Party USA attacking each other is to me like the black squirrels and grey squirrels fighting each other over who gets first crack at Mark Warner's, Jim Moran's, and Barbara Favola's backyard bird feeders,

Did it matter whether one was Christian or Secular when it came to smashing the Apartheid Regime in South Africa?

When affordable housing in Potomac Yards came before the County Board there were exactly TWO activists taking the County Board to task for deferring to the Arlington Ridge NIMBYs. Neither of the activists was a Green.

Let me guess, they were Jim H. and June O. Right?

Why don't the IGs and GPUSA settle their long-running feud and get on with making the 21st Century a Green Century?

The Greens did not get involved in the Potomac Yards affordable housing controversy when their help would have assured affordable housing would be constructed in Potomac Yards.

The Greens did not get involved in the redevelopment of the Arlington Mill Community Center, which is public property.

Consequently, Arlington Mill will become Yuppie housing with a few affordable units that are only affordable if you earn more than $50,000 / yr.

Why the Arlington cops are stalking the Greens is beyond me because the Greens are nothing but a nuisance to the Yupscale Elite that is running and ruining Arlington.

It's all about greed and developer $$$$.

Why don't you start a thread about the anti-Green anti-affordable housing local news media, especially Scott McCaffrey and the Arlington Sun-Gazette?

Hi Yupette, pretty savvy picks and I agree we need major political change if we are to rem,ain sustainable. Too bad many people don't see that. BTW cool pic, so what does a Yupette do in the evening, we could get some coffee and discuss the issues?

AY works for a progressive Arlington in the evening.

Thanks for voting for change and for Arlington's future.

Yupette, pleae start a thread about Nancy Hunt's LEED score charade and about getting environmentalists appointed to the planning, transportation, and housing commissions before Arlington is totally paved over.

Yupette, can we have a thread about the "Columbia Pike Land Use and Transportation Study" charade? This is the County Board's plan to totally gentrify what is left of affordable housing along Columbia Pike and install trolley service along the Pike. The County Board is packing the various Pike advisory committees with Yupscale Elitists who will go along with whatever the County Board wants.
