All About Yuppie Arlington
Hi Yupette,Great choices. They all need our help to win. Please visit their Web sites and contribute to their campaigns.
Great endorsements. They all promote Democratic values, not Republicratic values. Go Russ !!!
Choices in Arlington are clear - more of the same from both major parties or a significant positive improvement from the third party candidates.
Yes, it's true - Jim Moran, Chris Zimmerman, and Sally Baird are Republicrats also known as DINOs (Democrats In Name Only). Sally Baird should come out of the closet and run as a Log Cabin Republican, which is what she really is.
The fact that that Zimmerman appoints Republicans to the various commissions to rubber stamp his dumb growth "planning" says it all. He's not even a Republicrat, he's a PlutoCrat.
Time for Progressives to take back the Democratic Party. Local elections are a good place to start.
Let's take back Arlington from the Real Estate Trusts and the Recreation and Entertainment Industry.
The fact that the School Board admits that many Arlington children who attend public schools are both undernurished and malnurished when we are giving the school system $452 million this year says it all.
If Arlington's children would rather have coffee and a doughnut for breakfast rather than a healthy breakfast it's time for a new School Board, new Superintendent, and some new supervisors in school food service.
True to form, after featuring Chris Zimmerman weekly for six months in the Sun Gazette, Scotty McCaffrey endorsed Mark Kelly for County Board.
McCaffrey won't publish anything contrary to his special interests and not much contrary to the County Board's PR Machine press releases. Last two weeks of October he concluded that Chris Zimmerman is, in fact, Arlington's Urban Village Idiot-in-Chief and endorsed the Republican Urban Village Idiot, Mark Kelly. Scotty was precluded from endorsing the best candidate for County Board, Kevin Chisholm, by his personal biases and adherence to the Arlington Chamber of Commerce's agenda - re-segregation through gentrification.
They're all the same ----Washington Gentrification Post, Falls Church News-Gentrification Press, Arlington Sun-Genrification Gazette, Washington City Gentrification Paper, etc.
McCaffrey gets away with his shabby performance because the Sun Gazette's parent is only concerned about profits.
