County Government Doesn't Just Taj Mahal Schools, County Government Taj Mahals Everything

Hey Yupette,

So more talk about so called Taj Mahal schools, this time by last-minute County Board candidate Charles McCullough II? Earth to Chuck -- County isn't just about Taj Mahal schools, the County has been about Taj Mahal EVERYTHING for the past decade...schools, parks, sports fields, and lots more. Like Taj Mahal LED street lights that don't light the street, like a Trades Center full of expensive construction equipment. Like police, fire, and EMS providing Taj Mahal security for bar crawls and earning lots of overtime. Like Taj Mahal parking lots for school buses and ART buses. In fact, everything this tiny County does is very expensive. But what can you expect when one-party government's been in power for more than 35 years and getting elected and re-elected depends of buying votes with tax dollars....lots of tax dollars?

Later,

Carolyn from Ashton Heights

Like Wilson School -- a room or rooms for every activity possible in a elementary school, except for classrooms.

Only cost $100 million, so far.

Will Taj Mahal Abingdon Elementary School be overcrowded when it re-opens in September after a $32 million renovation and expansion that added 136 seats? Stay tuned.

Seen on another news blog said...

"First thing the County Auditor should audit is how many non-residents use Arlington's Taj Mahal public schools and other Taj Mahal public infrastructure."

Does anyone know where DES is hiding the County's Taj Mahal cement truck?

I want to know how much tomorrow's bar crawl will cost taxpayers for extravagant public service, aka nanny security for Millennials, overtime - $100,000, $200,000, $300,000 ??

If there's paper shredding at the Trades Center tomorrow you can scan around to see where the cement truck is hidden.

Check out all the high dollar construction equipment and specialized vehicles parked at the Trade Center while you are at it.

Latest -- County will add expensive field lights to the Williamsburg Regional Park outdoor sports fields.

One of several Regional Parks in the Arlington Regional Parks System - Fairlington, Claremont-Wakefield, Barcroft, Bluemont, Carlin Springs-Kenmore, East Falls Church, etc.

Then there are the new Taj Mahal LED street lights on 40 foot poles that barely light the street.

County Board Majority are a bunch of tax-borrow-spend Limo Liberal skanks who buy votes from special interests like baseball-lacrosse-soccer parents with extravagant spending for repurposing neighborhood parks like Williamsburg's into lighted synthetic field Regional Sports Facilities.

You forgot to mention the Longbridge Regional Park.

In a few years there will be a Four Mile Run Valley Regional Arts and Sports Park.

County's cement truck is parked in the Trades Center at the end of 28th St.

Shredder at the Trades Centr was broken, BTW.

K.L. said...

Given its proximity to DC Longbridge will be a National Park.

Possibly in the Douglas Park neighborhood of south Arlington. The county as quietly used their residential area as a dumping ground for all manner of things.

Time to shut down Smart Growth before it destroys Arlington as a livable County.

If the County wants to turn every neighborhood park on Arlington's borders into a Regional Park the County should get the State to help pay for it.

NO More Non-Residents Hired As Deputy County Managers NO

Two new Taj Mahal high schools for 1300 students for only $100 million? No Way. Will cost a minimum $150 million.

Carolyn from Ashton Heights, time to use Parks and Rec bond funds to tear down some homes in Ashton Heights for Parks and Rec infrastructure.

How much will the Four Mile Run Regional Performing Arts and Team Sports Park cost Arlington taxpayers?

Good question. Maybe $200 million. BTW, Alexandria Mayor Alison Silberberg lives just across I-395 from Shirlington Village.

What would Gutshall do on the County Board that Fisette hasn't? Besides more Taj Mahal schools and converting McMansions into apartment buildings?

Want to know how bad Smart Growth is really starting to suck? Thousands more motor vehicles every year in the County and fewer places to refuel them and have them repaired. Will I have to make an appointment to refuel my little Fiat in 5 years? Oh, when that happens some brain dead wackycrat will just say "trade your car in for a bicycle."

Former activist for fiscal responsibility Robert Atkins used to say: "The money Arlington Government wastes every year could fully fund the operation of two rural counties downstate."

What happened to the fiscally conservative Republicans who used to volunteer for various fiscal affairs committees and commissions?

They claimed carpal tunnel disability from rubber stamping so many smart growth site plans when appointed to the other rubber stamp commissions and retired to Farfromsmartgrowth N.C.

What's the difference between Arlington and Hong Kong? Both former democracies controlled for 20 years by half baked socialist regimes that embrace laissez faire capitalism.

What's the difference between Arlington and a suburb of Moscow?

Putin is trying to have Moscow residents drink less, Fisette is trying to have Arlington residents drink more?
