A-Town's Live Entertainment Permit Renewal Another Gimme?

Hey Yupette,

I live in the neighborhood of A-Town in the B-R Corridor and it appears that A-Town's live entertainment permit that's going to the County Board on Saturday (Consent Agenda Item #4) is another gimme. The antics at A-Town since last September are worse than during the previous 6 months, with a couple of Millennials who were ejected from A-Town last Sunday fighting each other and then the police who were called to break up the fight. And we're barely into the St. Patrick's Day and March Madness mayhem.

So I am sending this to Arlington Yupette because the neighborhood (which does not nescesarily include the civic association - a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Democratic "Party's Over Here" Party) has had enough of A-Town and wants A-Town to move away - far away - from Ballston.

Members of the Public are allowed to remove Consent Agenda Item #4 on Saturday for discussion by the County Board next Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM . To do that you have to attend Saturday's County Board meeting at 8:30 AM and submit a slip to the County Board Clerk. Or you can write to the County Board at: countyboard@arlingtonva.us asking that one or more County Board members remove the item for discussion on Tuesday.

I think if this goes on with A-Town we are going to have innocent bystanders in this neighborhood hurt. Too many handguns out there being legally or illegally carried concealed. Anyway, thanks for bringing these issues up in your blog.

How about the "Where's the Party" Post, "Where's the Party?" ArlNow, and so on down the list of Millennial boosters? Gotta make those quarterly ad revenue targets.

Financially struggling restaurant owners who do not over serve alcohol in the BR corridor get no help from Arlington County.

Arlington County Board's "vision" of the County as "Disney World on the Potomac"? You got that right. And the B-R corridor is Millenial Land

If this goes to the County Board A-Town's owners will complain they are being treated unfairly and go down a laundry list of community benefits A-Town provides.

Arlington County is already MillennialLand

Then there are the scofflaw Biketards.

All they care about is the sales tax and meals tax they obtain from bars and restaurants. If they were allowed to incease meals tax to 20% they would.

I'm voting for Audrey Clement no matter which Republicrat is appointed to run for County Board.

Apparently the number of fights and noise complaints in and around A-Town since last September is significantly greater than the previous 6 months.

Remains to be seen if the County Board will remove this from the consent agenda for discussion on Tuesday if someone from the neighborhood doesn't.

Anyone who's anybody in Arlington when it comes to influence either lives in an upscale enclave in Arlington or is a non-resident. The Upscale Elite doesn't want to live anywhere near the middle class but wants lots of low-wage workers to provide all kinds of services, as cheaply as possible. The B-R Corridor is where Millenials party till they puke once they are finally (at age 23) out of range of their helicopter parents (the same Upscale Elite) who live in affluent enclaves across the U.S., like McLean Virginia, Potomac Maryland, etc.

Then there's the trash from DC that also parties in the BR corridor.

This County is sick. Assuming someone does remove the item from the consent agenda for discussion next Tuesday he/she will be branded a "troublemaker" by the Democratic Machine and its media shills. A-Town? No problem there. Just some Millennials having fun.

Some County Board member or members did remove this consent item for discussion on Tuesday.

Last night County Board ignored the completely PO'd neighbors and gave A-Town more law enforcement resources to be A-Town's taxpayer funded security team.

County Board completely ignored the concerns of the Ballston neighborhood around A-Town and refused to hold A-Town's Owners and Managers accountable for the consequences of over serving alcohol.

I will not vote for any Democrat for any office this year - state or local.
