Focus of 2016 General Assembly Session - Guns, Guns, Guns

Hey Yupette,

I noticed that the First Yuppie will be in Fairfax today, preaching against guns, guns, guns. Are guns a problem in Virginia? There have been two murders in Arlington during the past 3 years.

Meanwhile, it's easier, much easier, to buy a handgun in Virginia than to have solar panels installed on your home. Appears that after focusing on date rape, date rape, date rape in 2015 the General Assembly will focus on guns, guns, guns this year.

Meanwhile, North Carolina and Maryland are fast-tracking solar installations.

Appears the Virginia General Assembly is focused on fighting and re-fighting battles in the Liberal vs. Conservative Culture War.

Oh, photo is of a typical solar home installation in Maryland. They typically cut electric energy consumption by 1/2 to 2/3.

Thanks for your blog.

Susan

Tell it to our irresponsible General Assembly delegation tonight at the League of Women Voters forum, Arlington County Board Room, 2100 Clarendon Blvd., 3rd Floor, starts at 6:30.

When has solar been discussed by the Arlington County Board?

When have the Washington Post, Inside Nova, ArlNow, Arlington's Propaganda Machine, or any other media outlet discussed home solar options?

Dominion is partnering with Duke Energy to build solar farms in North Carolina.

True - Arlington/Alexandria General Assembly Liberals only want to fight Culture War battles with Conservatives. Media go right along.

Why can't we have electric vehicle charging stations in Virginia powered by solar panels? Why can't Governor McAuliffe and the General Assembly get together and pass legislation that will re-train coal miners to become renewable energy installers?

It gets worse. As Virginia's Governor and General Assembly are aware, many wind turbine components are manufactured by General Electric in Roanoke.

Dump Democrat and Republican incumbents and elect Independents to the Virginia General Assembly.

Meanwhile in Arlington, it's OK to bring new auto dealerships that sell expensive high performance gas guzzlers into the County - latest is Maserati - but it's not OK to bring a Tesla dealership into the County.

Common Sense is lost on Virginia's Republican and Democrat incumbents. They are completely controlled by their respective political ideologies and the New Urbanism social, economic and environmental ideology.

Congressman who represents Arlington and Alexandria is a billionaire auto dealer who made his fortune importing gas guzzlers that run on premium gas.

New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Massachusetts, and North Carolina are among the top 10 states for solar installations.

Virginia ranks 40 to 45, depending the solar organization that's doing the estimating. Arlington Economic Development likes to brag about how Arlington is a tech innovation zone.

All the General Assembly Repubs and Dems are interested in doing in Richmond is passing tit for tat legislation making whatever conflicts with their respective ideologies illegal, e.g., Planned Parenthood and guns.

We have every kind of upscale auto dealership in Arlington and Alexandria except for a Tesla dealership. Duh.

Maserati dealership is OK --- Tesla dealership No Way.

Anonymous said...

Yes, all they do is pass tit-for-tat legislation and use the General Assembly to promote their respective political ideologies.

Why does the First Yuppie come out here to preach about guns, where there is little gun-related violence? Why doesn't he preach to his fellow African Americans in DC?

Congressman Beyer came out as a Country Club Republican yesterday.

Anonymous said...

Not surprising...check out the 2016 Range Rovers he sells to his fellow Republicans. Imported vehicles that get about 10 mpg and require premium gas.

What we're supposed to go along with is Jay Fisette's Dominion-and-Washington-Gas-approved Community Energy Plan, lots of fossil fuel burned in downtown Arlington to generate electricity and provide hot water.

Anonymous said...

How many "healthy company" management seminars has Jay's spouse Rob Rosen given to Dominion and Washington Gas employees over the past decade?

Congressman Beyer came out as a Country Club Republican yesterday. Was he in the closet? Is he gay or transgender.

And I agree, dump Democrats and Republicans and elect gun packing, solar installing, tit for tatting independents driving Teslas.

Dandy Don has been a pretend-Democrat for decades.

Anonymous said...

Muriel Bowser should invite the First Yuppie to preach to her congregation...they're the ones with the problems.

Anonymous said...

What's wrong with having a Tesla dealership in Arlington or Alexandria? Dominion won't even allow that?

Anonymous said...

Another rabid yellow dog from Blue Virginia heard from. Who do you think Don Beyer sells $90,000 Range Rovers to...the middle class that commutes to work in Arlington and Alexandria from vibrant Dale City?

Anonymous said...

Don Beyer a Democrat? LOL. At BEST he's a Rockefeller Republican.

Anonymous said...

If General Assembly Dems and Republicans can't find an excuse to keep Virginia from joining the 21st Century they will make one up -- last year is was fictitious on-campus rape at UVA.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, the Limo Libs drove their Don Beyer Range Rovers and Volvo SUVs out to protest in a safe venue where they wouldn't be carjacked.

I have to ask why the First Yuppie always picks an upscale community in Northern VA whenever he wants to preach a sermon about personal responsibility.

The charade that Don Beyer's a Democrat only works because his family fortune is over a billion dollars.
