Yuptard of the Year

Hello,

No contest this year for "Yuptard of the Year". First Generation Yuptard Chris Zimmerman wins hands down.

If you haven't read Post reporter Patricia Sullivan's feature about Chris Zimmerman's 'vision' in the Metro Section on December 24th, you should. More than obvious that Chris Zimmerman's goal from the very beginning of his residence in Arlington, 34 years ago, was to make-over Arlington from a diverse middle class county to a county run by, and for, Yuppies.

He not only succeeded in removing the working class and middle class from Arlington but ensured that Second Generation Yuptards would be able to live even more self-centered lives in enclaves on and around Arlington's major arterials, and in tear-down McMansions in formerly middle-class neighborhoods.

Using schemes like "New Urbanism" and "Smart Growth" Chris Zimmerman re-created an Arlington that only a Yuppie could love, packed with sports, recreation, entertainment venues, upscale restaurants, expensive housing, massive amounts of parking for expensive vehicles.

Now Chris Zimmerman is leaving the County Board to earn millions inflicting "Smart Growth" on middle class Americans who've already suffered enough over the past decade. Look for Chis and his colleagues at Smart Growth America to redevelop your older middle class suburb or older middle class downtown in the future, probably sooner than you think.

Based on his speech at the CB meeting today, Jay Fi$ette has a big lead already for the 2014 award.

When will Jay announce he's retiring to lead a gimme group seeking more aquatics and performing arts facilities for Arlington's needy neighborhoods?

Jay Fisette is increasingly embarrassing to LGBT's who eschew the Guppyism that Jay promotes.

How many sardines can you pack into a 6-sardine can? Ask Chris Zimmerman and Smart Growth America.

F Y I --- Chris Zimmerman and the County Bord approved site plans with a total of 7,500 parking spaces since January 1, 2012.

What the hell are we, anyway, a contest to see how much additional development can be packed into 16 square miles of Arlington that's not owned by the state and federal government?

How many jobs that's don't pay a living wage does Smart Growth aka New Urbanism create?

Per Walter Tejada at yesterday's C.B. meeting - Jay Fisette is an elitist miser who's always looking for gimmes from the taxpayers for his pet upscale programs and projects to benefit his pet elitist miser friends.

How much of Arlington is still 'developable'?

So now that Zimmy doesn't have to live in Arlington, where will Zimmy live?

Gimmes from he taxpayers? Like a $250,000 bailout for Jay's tax scofflaw buds at the Signature Theater?

How about Chris Zimmerman's educational legacy? Parents had to beg to have the planetarium renovated and are having to beg again to have an old farmhouse renovated as an education center.

Always plenty of money for lighted synthetic surface sports fields.

It's 15 degrees, wind is blowing 30 mph, streets are covered with snow and slush. Time to break out your mountain bikes.

Chris is delaying his departure from the CB until February. More time to obtain taxpayer funded gimmes for the Pike corridor.
