Cord for Board - Less of the Same

Hey Yupette,

I attended the Democratic candidates forum at Arlington Yuppie Mill next week.

I will vote for Cord Thomas in the Democratic Caucus this week.

Whatever else Cord would do on County Board at least he wouldn't support extravagant, wasteful, and unnecessary programs, policies, and massive vanity infrastructure projects.

No way I would vote for the worst candidate, Peter Fallon, or Zimmy's handpicked successor Alan Howze.

fed-up Dem

I received Alan Howze's resume' in the mail today. How about US, Alan?

Anything that might benefit us from Howze or Fallon serving on the C.B. would be purely coincidental.

Peter Fallon wants to transfer his Planning Commission experience to the County Board? Can you spell T-O-T-A-L U-R-B-A N-I-A-T-I-O-N ?

I think 'urbanization' is spelled with a z, Audrey.

Thank goodness for Obamacare. Cord's low wage hamburger flippers and taxi drivers will at least be able to have healthcare coverage.

At least he cares, unlike the current CB members and their appointees who send hungry low-wage workers to their good buds who run the food-assistance non-profits.

We need another Chris Zimmerman on County Board like we need Hillary as President of the United States.

C.Z. can't wait to have Howze or Fallon on the C.B. so he can become the C.B.'s First Smart Growth Lobbyist.

Cord is still a Dem.

Yeah, I have to wonder how much time C.Z. will be spending lobbying the C.B. for Smart Growth America.

I like this guy even though he's a dem. Cord is sticking it to the machine especially with his road signs...

Priceless!!!!!

Last bunch of gimmes for his neighborhood were approved by the C.B. last night.

What was the final gimme to Zimmy? Was not on the publicly published agenda.

Check out the comment of the Pines of Italy's manager to the County Board (or was it Jay) after the neighborhood yuptards got Zimmy to deny the Pines a live entertainment renewal. Also priceless. (Agenda Item 43)

How about the new $100,000 architect-designed treehouse in Glencarlyn Park (agenda item 19)?

Speaking of restaurants, I gotta agree with Jim H. who asked where are the Chamber of Commerce, CPRO, Ballston BID, Rosslyn BID, Economic Development, etc. when it comes to helping prevent these restaurant, bar, club meltdowns with the adjacent residential neighborhoods.

Ask $ara$ota $cott McCaffrey, Chamber's Vice Chair for Government and Economic Development.

County purchases Ballston Park Apartments? Information please.

Ballston Park Apartments? Where a studio apt. rents for $1300+

Looks like the CB bought the upscale Ballston Courts Apartments without bothering to tell anonyone.

Howze and Fallon? More of the same? No fooling. My condo assessment went up $20,000. And it's a small condo. Assessments on single family homes nearby didn't go up at all. Who cares about the middle class? Not Howze and Fallon. They're too busy attending galas with the Elite.
