Enough Warfighting Car Tax Decals

Hey, Yupette,

Just received Frank O'Leary's latest warfighting car tax decal in the mail, for which I will pay $252 in car tax, plus $25 for the decal. Enough of this waste of tax dollars for one person's ego. I have also had it with the seemingly endless events having to do with 9-11-2001, pay-to-play and otherwise. So, I'm doing a cut-and-paste with Frank's decal this year. Here's a suggested graphic to replace the flag-wrapped U.S.S Arlington.

Talk about terrorism, how about a decades long commemoration of the War of 1812?

Enough of O'Leary and his car tax decal program - another unnecessary extravagance from another elected official who (like Zimmerman) should have retired a decade ago.

I don't even bother with the stupid decal anymore, it goes in the glove compartment with the vehicle registration.

Used to be that you could tell which County employees who live in Fairfax and Prince William were dropping their kids off at Arlington public schools school on their way to work. But no more car tax decals in Fairfax and P.W.

Enough of Frank O'Leary.

I want O'Leary's office audited to determine how much staff time is being spent on his pet projects.

I am also tired of hearing that this and that restaurant is in arrears for tens of thousands in meals tax and/or has gone under. Where is the Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development, Committee of 100, etc., when it comes to helping local businesses that are struggling?

Well, for one, Mr. Chamber of Commerce Conflict-of-Interest is driveling as usual in his newspaper, nicknamed the "Sun Fisette" for his blatant bias towards Frank O'Leary and other incumbents.

I'm doing a cut-and-paste with Virginia's state flag, lots of images on-line.

Frank O'Leary is another local character who has become a crank.

Response to attacks on the United States? Frank should be producing a 8-29-14 decal for next year depicting the sterling performance of Virginia's local militias (notably Alexandria's) during the battles around Washington in 1814.

Time for term limits in local government.

I'm placing Frank's decal upside down or maybe sideways on my SUV's windshield.

I repeatedly called O'Leary's office a few months ago asking that he provide a list of organizations that are in arrears in meals tax payments. Never any response. Surprise, Signature Theater was in arrears and was subsequently bailed out by the County Board.

$ignature's wealthy insiders make various demands on County Government, threatening to move the theater if their demands aren't met.

Frank O'Leary is Arlington's version of Bob McDonnell, as a comprehensive outside audit of his office would show. Too many private and public activities co-mingling.

I'm drawing a peace symbol with a fine line marking pen on O'Leary's decal, which will be visible close up.

I want to know how many organizations are currently in arrears on taxes and by how much.

Second the motion for term limits in local government.

I want a list of who is assigned to what in O'Leary's office. I doubt Frank would provide a list because the amount of staff time devoted to Frank's pet special interests would be too embarrassing.

Frank is gearing up for the commissioning of the U.S.S. Somerset County next year.

Based upon the special treatment Frank O'Leary afforded the Signature Theater he should, at the very least, been asked to retire.

Speaking of wasteful government, what function do Commissioner of the Revenue Ingrid Morroy and her staff perform?

Anonymous said...

Acoustics in the Commissioner of Revenue's office suite are great. Ingrid practices singing and guitar playing for the next big ACDC outreach event.

What's pathetic is local government media shills, like Mr. Chamber of Commerce Conflict-of-Interest, publish any and all PR written by and about local government VIPs as 'news'.

How much is the U.S.S. Somerset County commissioning going to cost Arlington's taxpayers?

Thanks for this blog. Many town city, and county governments are corrupt. Given the education and wealth of this county's residents we absolutely deserve better than the corrupt pols, media, and organizations we've endured for two decades.

Republican Party, Green Party, Civic Federation, Arlington County Taxpayers Association, and Arlington Residents should be demanding that County Government end the car tax decal waste of tax dollars.

Anonymous said...

Question has to ba asked...where's the Republican Party?

Given the activities Frank O'Leary is engaged in 9-5 on weekdays, which have nothing whatsoever to do with tax collection, time is overdue for a comprehensive outside audit of the Arlington Treasurer's Office.

Sun Gazette a corrupt media organization that attacks anyone who doesn't go along with the program? Check out the SG's owner, Richard L. Conner on the Net.

I think you mean "Richard L. Connor".

Typical of Regimes and their corrupt Media enablers...go after better government activists who they see as out to spoil their 33-year one-party party.

Please don't tell me that Frank's pet vanity activities don't cost taxpayers anything. Tell me how many hours of staff time Frank's activities consume.

Have you noticed? Scott McCaffrey gets all bent out of shape when you mention the Sun Gazette's owner, Richard L. Connor, or criticize local heroes Jay Fisette and Frank O'Leary.
