Zimmy's Newest Pike Streetcar Facilitator - Amtrak Joe Biden

Hey Yupette,

Think the reason Amtrak Joe Biden visited Arlington last Friday was to meet ordinary residents in a diner on Lee Highway? Nope. Real reason was to help Zimmy get his Pike streetcar through bottlenecks like a U.S. Department of Transportation IG investigation of Zimmy's corrupt streetcar alternatives analysis and grant application process and facilitate approval by the Federal Transit Administration.

Meanwhile, in beautiful Quebec, the Canadian Feds have launched a major anti-corruption campaign against big engineering and construction corporations, including Zimmy's consultant cronies at AECOM.

This streetcar mess is getting to smell like a garbage truck in July.

Thanks for your blog.

Why am I not surprised?

Time for a Federal anti-corruption task force for Northern Virginia

Tonight's CB meeting - Zimmy is pushing big $$$ into Crystal City - Potomac Yards - Route 1 streetcar design even though the City of Alexandria wants to go with BRT and won't have the funds to build a Potomac Yards - Route 1 streetcar system until 2021, if ever.

AT BEST Zimmy's Crystal City streetcar would go all the way to the Potomac Yards Metro station, given Alexandria's preference for BRT and financials.

Zimmy-Vornado Public-Private Tourist Trolley for Crystal City. Cost $300 million.

Did someone mention Vornado? Same Vornado whose attorneys have become a rodent invasion at 2100 Clarendon Blvd.?

Anonymous said...

County Board offices have been infested by 2-legged rodents for decades.

How can I get a copy of the County's fraudulent grant application to the Federal Transit Administration for the Pike streetcar?

Zimmy-Vornado Crystal City trolley will deliver Vornado office building tenants to their executive spa, health club, and activity center recently approved by the Arlington sheep....er... Arlington voters.

Who is the Arlington County Government Media Controller who censors the local news media?

Hey Yupette, Zimmy gave $teve Thur$ton, publisher of the Arlington Mercury blog, permission to publish photos of state-of-the-art BRT after this month's CB meetings, so one appeared this morning.

If you want a copy of the County's fraudulent small starts / new starts grant application to the FTA for Pike streetcar funding you can try calling the County's FOIA coordinator at 228-3120. Don't know if the application is 'privileged' information or not.

I am the owner of a successful software development firm and there is no way I will locate a DC branch office in your county after reading this blog.

Used to be you could bribe the County Board with envelopes stuffed with $20s at campaign meetup events held in ACDC members' homes. Now it's more complicated.

Zimmy gave the local media blanket permission to publish photos and provide information about state-of-the-art bus rapid transit after the December C.B. meetings, if they want to. Of course, the Sun Gazette also needs the Chamber of Commerce's permission.

Local media also knew Joe Biden's real purpose for visiting Arlington last Friday.

If Libby Garvey is so pro-active for BRT why didn't she instruct County Staff to provide information about BRT to residents?

Where was/is the Post? Post reporter who covers Arlington and Alexandria is a veteran journalist, not a part timer just out of J-school.

I called the County Manager's Office. "Problems with reporters and news media" are handled by Diana Sun.

Seen on a local news blog: "Scott McCaffrey - Call your Arlington Government Media Controller. It's now OK to publish photos of state-of-the-art Bus Rapid Transit."

Arlington Government Media Controller said...

"Scott, we have to know by December 15th how you want your 'Christmas present' delivered. Do want gift cards, like last year, or cash?"

Anonymous said...

You keep on misspelling their names: $cott McCaffrey, $cott Brodbeck, Ja$on $pencer, etc.

Local media want to be 'comped' next summer when CB members visit Arlington's sister cities to check on their offshore investments and bank accounts.

Anonymous said...

I thought the Economic Development Office, not the County Manager's Office, is responsible for recycling developer 'contributions' into 'Christmas gifts'.

Post reporter is kept busy playing trivial pursuit with local mysteries like - which limo liberal 'mistakenly' donated an autographed and inscribed copy of Ronald Reagan's autobiography to the public library?

Anonymous said...

Main reason we get stuck with so much dumb growth is because really good 21st Century developers refuse to pay bribes so we are stuck with more Retro redevelopment.

Anonymous said...

$cott wants a new Miata.

Anonymous said...

Developers are "vetted" by Economic Development months or years before County Board gets to rubber stamp preliminary site plans. Arlington PD runs background checks to ensure the developer isn't really a part of a federal anti-corruption task force.

Ask Libby Garvey how journalists and others with kids in the public school system are threatened with C grades for their kids if they don't go along with the program.

World is passing Arlington by because everything is of, by, and for 20th Century Retros.

Anonymous said...

Retros? They would not approve five taxi certificates for a test fleet of electric taxis. They approved 3000 new parking spaces in new construction site plans this year, and spent $3 million trying to get everyone on a car free diet.

Anonymous said...

Arlington Board Retros are building massive new parking for non-resident Retros who drive to their offices one-per-retro-vehicle.

Obviously we cannot have 21st Century transportation technology in Arlington when 20th Century Retro Diehards, like Zimmerman, impose 20th Century Retro technology on Arlington residents, and censor information about 21st Century transportation technology, like state-of-the-art Bus Rapid Transit, from reaching Arlington Residents.

Anonymous said...

Susan, we obviously can't have ANY 21st Century technology in Arlington as long as Retro Diehards control the County Board.

Yeah, and J.H. had to repeatedly kick Green Party candidate Audrey Clement's fat a$$ to get her off the dime to move on renewable energy in Arlington.

Hybrids are 20th Century technology. FiSette drives a Prius thanks to his domestic partner's success in attracting new clients, thanks to Jay being on the County Board.

lol the people that read this blog are the same people that read the Inquirer. What a bunch of loons.

Looney tunes are the brainwashed Arlington sheeple who red and believe the for-profit news blogs.
