Survey Indicates 8th District Voters Want 'Generational Change'

Hello,

A.Y. has obtained the results of a recent telephone survey of Eighth Congressional District voters. Former congressional candidate Jim Hurysz paid for the survey, which obtained responses from 500 randomly-selected voters from across the 8th CD.

What do 8th CD voters want in their next Congressman or Congresswoman? They want a person in his / her early 40's, who is moderate-to-progressive, and who will work to solve outstanding problems. They do not want a person who's been a long-term incumbent on a board of supervisors or in the General Assembly and who's supported the status quo.

So, the voters don't want another Jim Moran or a Patrick Murray. They want a young and energetic person representing them in Congress who will get things done.

I agree, except all I see is young neocons and young Democrats who go along with the status quo

What has any Democrat in the General Assembly done recently, besides sponsor special interest legislation?

Agreed, they are preparing to wage a cultural war next year

I don't want Brian Moran as my next Congressman.

So, who is Jim Moran living with now?

Friends and Family, as usual.

Moran and Murray are a couple of Losers for the 8th CD. All they want to do is keep on warfighting in the Third World.

Yeah...let's enrich the DOD lobbyists and forget about the public infrastructure in the DC Region that has to be built when you're sucking billions from the sheeple across America to fight Third World wars.

Check out today's Post about Moran.

All Murray wants to do is fight wars...next wars he wants to fight will be against North Korea and Iran.

Yes, I'm 60 years old. Time for my 30-something kids to to get involved. Time to give long-time incumbents who are responsible for letting small problems become big problems the boot.

Why don't long-time incumbents take their own voter surveys....then act accordingly. Starting with Moran.

Patrick Murray is an arrogant neo-con jerk.

It only took the Post 3 years and two endorsements to reveal that Moran dumped 90 stocks he owned based on inside information.

Sleazy news media? Try the Editor of the Sun Gazette admitting he endorsed Hynes and Tejada in return for being appointed to a County advisory commission.

Someone in Arlington County politics actually listens to the voters. How refreshing.

Yupette, check out what Audrey Clement has to say about the Post's endordsment charades at audreyclement.org.

I'm progressive, voted for Audrey Clement, and the person we need in Congress is someone who's young and progressive with a background in building a successful business. Is there a progressive Caren Merrick out there?

Anonymous said...

Yeah, we need a progressive Caren Merrick in Congress. People serving in office now are only concerned about preserving and protecting the status quo.

OMG, you mean someone cares about what the voters think? What's local politics coming to? Next thing you know a third party or independent will be elected.

Don't hold your breath waiting for the Arlington Sleaze Gazette and the Falls Church Moran-Press to comment editorially about Jim Moran dumping 90 stocks based on inside information.
