House SuperCommittee Impasse Mandates A Fiscally Responsible Arlington County Board

Hello, Yupette,

Looks like the Repubs and Dems are at an impasse about Federal spending over the next five years. So, if GS salaries are going to be frozen and federal spending around the Beltway is going to be drastically cut, why are Arlington residents still supporting the profligate tax-and-spend agenda of Chris Zimmerman and the Arlington County Board? And, why support the welfare-for-the-wealthy Arlington County Republican agenda, which includes unlimited tax dollars for warfighting in third world ratholes?

Only County Board candidate who cares about us - residents, voters, and taxpayers - is Audrey Clement. That's why I'm voting for her again next year for County Board.

Junk the Pike Trolley and use the $$$ for expanding public transportation around the County.

I don't need or want another urban village idiot - like Libby Garvey, Melissa Bondi, or Kim Klinger - on the County Board.

Zimmerman has created a huge spending bubble, fueled by tax revenue from megadevelopment. Question is not if but when it will burst.

Military pay won't be cut. Maybe Obama and the Repubs will start another war.

Arlington Government bureaucracy is so huge that if the County had an inspector General just auditing DHS and DES would require 3 FTEs.

Why does Arlington still have a AAA bond rating? The Arlington School System is making huge demands on the County for new schools and classrooms. The County Board is going ahead with huge new entertainment and recreation projects...at least $130 million for Longbridge Park.

Arlington School System is beyond capacity. Class size is typically 25 students. More trailers on the way.

Alexandria is building modular classrooms for less than Arlington is paying to buy trailer classrooms.

What would we get with a neo-con Republican on the County Board?

So the Repubs want Mark Kelly to run for County Board next Spring? When was the last time Mark Kelly attended a County Board meeting? Oh, he's too busy with youth soccer.

ACRC is run by and for "Just Say No' Neo-Cons. As in "don't let Bush-era tax cuts for the super wealthy expire".

Interesting that Atkins never gets called names or is mischaracterized by the Post and Sun Gazette.

Audrey Clement attended Saturday's County Board meeting and met with the cab drivers and Leeway-Overlea residents who are upset about in-fill. Where was Mark Kelly?

Post reporter, Patricia Sullivan, sat for 5 hours at Saturday's County Board meeting and reported on...County Board's charade pay raise for taxi drivers.

You think the Post would let her report the Crystal City redevelopment taxpayer / resident rip off?

Audrey Clement was also at Saturday's CB Meeting to ask what happened to 600 of her campaign signs which 'disappeared' during the last month of the CB campaign.
