Brown Resigned Because Of County Board's 'Inverted Priorities'.

Hi Yupette,

In case you wondered why Mike Brown resigned it was because of the County Board's insistence on stripping money from essential public infrastructure to pay for the County Board's vanity projects. Mike was also tired of being overruled by Chris Zimmerman. Mike tried, but was unsuccessful, in changing the culture of corruption in areas like inspection services, which has become a cottage industry within County Government over the years.

I'm not surprised. The Greens, Independents, and Republicans have been hitting home runs off the County Board and making the County Manager's office look bad at every County Board Meeting since Mike Brown became County Manager.

It's time to replace Chris Zimmerman. We can't afford 4 more years of his extravagant antics.

Mike Brown supported every CB decision.

Brown is reported to be getting $110,000 severance for 4.5 months work -- if so that's either a buyout or a gift. Where is the County IG to investigate this along with the JayChris twins other political payoffs?

When did Barbara Donnellan ever say NO to the County Board?

Mike Brown PUBLICLY supported every County Board decision.

Know what got Mike his buy out? When Jim Hurysz and Audrey Clement hit back-to-back home runs against the County's $5 billion corporate welfare package for Vornado and the other sleazy REITs for Crystal City redevelopment. Crystal City Sector Plan is the worst 'planning' by County Staff in 20 years.

Miriam Gennari hit another home run against the so-called "Sector Plan" aka "Christmas in September" against the REITs' exploitation of education, libraries, and intellectual resources in the residential communities near Crystal City.

How much more 'corporate welfare' can this County give the REITs that develop and redevelop here?

Crystal City Sector Plan was the worst document EVER out of County "Planning" Staff.

Thumbs Up...To Audrey Clement.. who gave the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals fits over I-66 widening, while she was undergoing chemo and radiation treatments for lymphoma.

Why didn't the County Board just stay with Barbara Donnellan in the first place and spare Mike Brown the aggravation?

Mike Brown helped build the "Creative Coast" of South Carolina. Only thing creative about Arlington is which bottle of overpriced California wine the Yups will choose to drink in an overpriced mediocre restaurant after watching a revival of Sweeney Todd at the Signature. I'm not surprised Mike resigned.

County Board brought Mike Brown here to lend credibility to this year's budget charades.

Yuppie Creativity is an oxymoron. Unless you mean creatively running their mouths and personal communication devices 24/7/365 about who said what about whom on Facebook.

County Board needed Mike Brown to pass a 'recession budget' with an 8.3% tax increase so the CB could to play Santa Claus to their pet special interests and for their pet vanity projects again this year.

Mike was the latest of many county managers and assistant county managers to be used and abused by Favola, Fisette, and Zimmerman.

Supposedly "incivility" of citizens towards government caused Mike to resign. But wasn't the "incivility" caused by the CB's inverted priorities? Has he ever seen a Tea Party meeting?
