CIP Takes from Middle Class to Fund Pet In-fill Gentrification Projects

Hi Yupette,

Seen the County's new Capital Improvement Program? It's a blatant rip off of the middle class to fund the County Board's pet Gentrification projects. Like the mess Zimmerman wants to build at the EFC Metro Station that only a Yuptard could love.

Same Old Same Old.....CB wants Arlington County to be Hedo County and so replaces single-family suburban neighborhoods with in-fill expensive condos and expensive retail on the ground floor and parking garage for expensive SUVs beneath the building. Except for their own neighborhoods, of course.

Yeah, did you see what just happened in Toronto? The World's Adults are getting sick and tired of Yuppiebama's brand of Reaganism.

When will my street be repaved?

Street repaving is on the bond referendum this year but you have to vote for the rest of pet recreation, entertainment, and transportation projects to have your street repaved. So not before next Spring at the earliest.

The County Board DOES listen, but only when 384 outraged voters show up at a meeting to protest the County Board of Recreation and Entertainmentr's latest antics.

Your street will be repaved when the County decides to put a streetcar line down it. Be patient.

Chris Zimmerman lives in a nice quiet enclave protected from Pike traffic by millions of dollars of "traffic calming".

My sister lives in Savannah. Can you guess how former Savannah City Manager Mike Brown fought poverty and encouraged economic development? Through massive Gentrification.
