Hello Yupette,

Did you see the report in the Post yesterday (Metro Section, page B7) about the massive traffic congestion that the new BRAC complex at Mark Center will cause in South Arlington?

LOL They all wanted the federal jobs to stay in Northern VA and they (meaning Msrk Warner, Tim Kaine, Chris Zimmerman, Bill Euille, etc.) had 5 years to prepare for the traffic. So what did they do? Waited until the mega building at Mark Center is nearing completion to start actually doing something.

Why did they wait 5 years to start being concerned about traffic?

LOL, the traffic plan for the City of Alexandria is to let gridlock happen and then deal with it.

I DO NOT want any more "traffic calming" in my neighborhood. Start giving people alternatives to driving 1 per vehicle through my neighborhood.

Post today (Saturday, May 29) said Jim Moran got the Pentagon to delay implementation until a traffic solution is devised.

NOW they're concerned? They weren't 5 years ago when they all lobbied the Pentagon hard to move the jobs out of Crystal City.

Traffic planning? Speed tables every 100 feet. That's their "traffic plan" for South Arlington.
