Arlington's Neighborhood Conservation Program "Probably Illegal"

Hello,

I'm a paralegal in a law office where civil rights and discrimination is a big part of the practice. I also live in South Arlington. Near as I can tell the County's so-called "Neighborhood Conservation" program is exclusionary and blatantly discriminatory. Money is diverted from comprehensive infrastructure maintenance and improvements to a few neighborhoods for extravagant beautification projects. Hope this posting will help get my street repaved sometime within the next 10 years.

Judy

Earth to Arlington Voters - don't you realize that what's been going on for years in this county is a "reverse Robin Hood" by our so-called government where money is taken from rhe middle class and given to the rich for their special programs and projects, whether education, transportation, infrastructure, recreation, entertainment, everything?

Look at the Sun Gazette blog where Fairlington residents are complaining that they can't use the "community center" across the street from their homes.

Anyone who votes for Zimmerman in November has to be pretty ignorant about whet the "Republicrats" are up to in Arlington.

Jeff, you are f'ing right. What can we do about it besides not voting for ZimPig?

School system just closed down the school system's planetarium to fund TJ High School.

Judy, Chris Zimmerman, aka ZimPig, will do whatever it takes to get his pet projects approved rather than your street repaved.

What else was cut to fund TJ?

Class size was increased and kids will be put in trailer classrooms again.

School Board illegally funded TJ even though more than 900 additional students will enter the school system next fiscal year. Obama Administration is going after school systems that discriminate against poor children to fund special programs for wealthy children. TJ is 95% White and Asian, almost all TJ students are upscale, i.e., their family income is at least 100% of the region's median family income.

Who can we call / e-mail at the U.S. Department of Education to complain?

Obama sends his kids to a private elitist school.

Obama's commitment to quality education for every child is like his commitment to health care choices for every woman.
