One thing the next decade will see for sure, an end to the governance of Virginia's First Yuppie - Tim Kaine.

Not if Chris Zimmerman, Jay Fisette, and Barbara Favola can help it.

How about America's First Yuppie, Barack Obama?

I think Obama is like any other Harvard-educated guy. Mostly promises.

Yeah, President Obama is proving he's President Yuppie. How long have the Yups been around? 28 years? So Obama is 28 years old and he's among the first Yups.

Happy New Decade, Yupette.

Yups will be around for a long time.

If I told you in 2000 that the price of a gallon of gasoline would rise to over $4.00 during the decade and that one of the following vehicles would no longer be manufactured by the end of the decade - Lexus or Saturn - which vehicle would you have guessed?

I am sick and tired of rap, hip-hop, Yuppies, McMansions, SUVs driven in places where it seldom or never snows, Neo-Cons, New Democrats, massive Gentrification, constant warfare in the Third World, the total emphasis on various forms of sports and recreation, and the rest of the Yuppie B-S we've had to endure for the past 28 years.

Tim Kaine sure had us fooled - NASCAR good ol boy to Harvard lawyer the minute he was elected Governor.

I looked at how Tim Kaine was performing as Governor and then listened to Obama in 2008. Figured Obama would do what Tim did once he was elected. Harvard lawyers are all alike. Bunch of BSers.

Dump Zimmerman. What a turkey. Post isn't all bad. It exposed Zimmerman and the WMATA Board of Directors for being criminally incompetent.

If there were no yups there would be nothing to blog about

Please. Do you really expect us to raise our darling children, Madison, Jacob, and Emily, in a 4 bedroom 3 bath ranch home in East Falls Church? Of COURSE we own a McMansion. Of COURSE we own two SUVs and a BMW 325. We're NORMAL.

Why don't you Socialists do everyone a favor and move to San Francisco.

Mommy, I have three kids and 4 bedrooms and 3 baths works out OK. Am I supposed to feel guilty for living in a $1.2 million home rather than a $2.2 million home?
